Position Summary
• Technical Support L1 position will introduce new hire to technologies and products from Motorola Solutions (Scanners, Mobile Devices, Wireless Devices). The first line technical position provides support in English and other EU languages (high level of written and spoken).
• The Systems Support Engineer will be responsible for the direct interaction with Motorola customers.
• You will provide technical assistance to the point of resolution with a strong focus on customer satisfaction whilst gathering and entering information into our case tracking system.
• Motorola customers include Motorola Associates, End-Users, Resellers, Strategic Alliance Partners, OEM's, etc.
• You will maintain accurate on-line records of all e-mails, voice messages, and phone calls received.
• You will provide entitlement verification and co-ordinate problem resolution processes with other departments and/or supervisors.
• You will be process oriented with strong attention to detail.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
• Provide timely and accurate technical assistance and support via email and phone on a broad range of products from barcode scanners to wireless network and enterprise mobility products.
• Using our call management system, maintain accurate on-line records of all calls and emails received.
• Translating technical language from English to the required language and vise versa.
• Evaluate caller needs, resolve problem or escalate them.
• Stay current on technical skills, policies, procedures and service offerings.
• Promote a positive image of product, technical ability and company.
• Provide the utmost quality customer service at all times.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Specific knowledge/skills:
• Good verbal and written English skills
• Knowledge of other European language: French, Spanish, Dutch or Russian is a must
• Excellent communications skills with strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Strong problem solving & troubleshooting abilities with ability to interact with customers over the phone and via email
• Basic background in computer information systems (internet, MS Office, Outlook)
• Experience from a call centre or a direct customer support role is highly desired - ideally you will have previous experience working in technical helpdesk roles
• BASIC PROGRAMMING SKILLS (.NET, C#, VB, C++, Java)
• Technically oriented people seeking for a new knowledge
• Basic skills in computer networking is advantage
