The business area:
The SMC Operation team is responsible to operate and look after our biggest and most valuable customers around the world. SMC supports mobile and fixed voice, and data services around the world including complex WAN and Data Center connections through SMC teams in Prague, Beijing, Madrid and Miami.
The role:
As NOC technician, you will be responsible to operate Services on production (LAN/WAN, Fixed Voice, mobile Etc.) own incidents, resolve them swiftly and drives through to final fix, working with customers and other internal teams as appropriate. Minimize controllable outages by ensuring that services are proactively monitored.
What you'll do for:
The business
• Ensure that all services are actively monitored to proactively detect and fix any network fault.
• Ensure SLA’s are achieved and client expectations are met (or exceeded).
• Responsible for the initial troubleshooting on Cisco devices, as well as opening tickets with the local providers.
• Technical review and ownership of network tooling and monitoring management systems.
• Ensure operational processes are followed and deliver best class technical support.
Your team:
• Bring your skills and personality to participate in an international, dynamic team focused on availability and quality of service
• Responsible to work closely with the recovery manager to operate the live services and avoid any disruption.
• Actively apply feedback received on day-to-day work and strive to improve performance
What you'll need:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
• General technical understanding of other technologies (eg. IP, MPLS, VoIP)
• Excellent interpersonal, management, organizational, presentation and communication skills
• Very good knowledge of English language (written and spoken), another language is a plus.
• Cisco certifications. CCNA preferred.
• Professional, structured and proactive approach to projects and customers.
• Team player with good organizational and communication skills.
• Calm and productive under pressure.
• Proven ability to meet internal and external deadlines
