LIVE-IN PERSONAL SUPPORT ASSISTANT REQUIRED IN SOUTH WEST ENGLAND FROM SEPTEMBER 2017

Hello. I sustained a high spinal cord injury on a motorbike some years ago and have been employing my own live-in support assistants for over 30 years. Most people stay with me for 1-2 years before moving on to further study or rehabilitation based jobs. If you are looking for solid practical experience of community based rehabilitation and a broad range of skill development to launch your career, this could be the role for you.

I work mostly from home in an attractive location outside a large thriving town with good links to Bristol, Exeter and London. The post involves delivery of personal care (bathing, dressing, loo etc) and other activities such as cooking, some housework, driving to meetings etc and help with things I can’t do for myself. The role is shared with another assistant who works for 3½ days per week when you have time off.

The post holder will receive an attractive package of pay, comprehensive training by qualified health professionals, regular supervision, food and your own furnished room in my home with 24 hour WIFI for the duration of the post.

About you: You need to be reliable, flexible, enthusiastic, a non-smoker and have a clean driving licence. A good standard of English is essential. A mature but fun approach is welcomed and you should be prepared to join our team for at least one year.
