Infrastructure Engineer

APS Holding a.s., an international financial company seated in Prague city center (Náměstí Republiky), is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. We operate in 11 countries of the CEE region and employ around 600 people.

In this role, you will act as a liaison between technical and non-technical people within the company. You will work both with central IT team and local IT units across APS Group thorough the world.

Key responsibilities

- Provide support for LAN and WAN technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls and Wi-Fi
- Manage servers in hybrid (Windows/Linux) environment
- Manage automated OS deployment of client computers
- Perform routine server and network monitoring and performance benchmarking on mixed environment (Linux/Windows)
- Manage security aspects (antivirus, firewall, compliance)
- Maintain daily backup and off-site backup storage
- Oversee all network/technician related services, including but not limited to: print services, internet services, licensing, email, network security, QoS, wireless networking, IP telephony
- Communication with vendors and service providers
- Conduct technology training for new users
- Maintain Asterisk PBX
- Complete special projects as requested

Required technical skills and knowledge

- Excellent knowledge in Windows 10 administration
- Experience in the troubleshooting of infrastructure networks
- Linux server administration skills (mostly Debian and CentOS)
- Server virtualization (Hyper-V and VMware)
- Understanding of Active Directory topology
- Advanced networking skills including TCP/IP, subnetting, IPsec tunnels
- IT Helpdesk experience

Appreciated skills

- Experience with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
- Management of Cisco ASA and FortiGate devices

Qualifications

- Associate’s degree in Computer Technology or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years prior experience with similar position
- The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service is required.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills required.
- A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects
- Attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken are essential.
- Willingness to travel abroad to other branches if required
