Tobias Schmidts' techno was born in Scotland in the 1990's where he was lucky enough to be part of the Sativae and Test club nights.His first 2 eps for Telepathic and Sativae were made after borrowing Neil Landstrumms' drum machines and desk for a week in 1994.Subsequent releases have been on labels such as Scandinavia, Tresor, Input-Output, Kickin, Disko-B, Drought, Nest, Feinwerk, Vivod, Shipwrec, We Buy Gold, Varvet and Don't, both as Schmidt and as Sugar Experiment Station in collaboration with Neil Landstrumm.2018 saw the start of a new project Secret State, with a release on CPU and upcoming 12s on Falty Dls' label Blueberry and Eclair Fifis' new label River Rapid Records, due later in 2019.
