Digital Unrealities
“Digital unrealities” is a project dedicated to the study of sound reality. It departures from the idea that “reality” is intrinsically related to physical space recognition, predictable behaviors and acoustic associations. In its core, the perception of a sound is the perception of the space the sound is played in. The group proposes to treat the sounds chosen accordingly to the acoustic properties of space. As a result, we are left with reflections and resonances of the initial material which have to relocated and re-spatialized in a existing physical space. For this gathering, we invite you to listen to our composition installed in GAMU in this night and discuss the concepts and methods embedded in it.
