Studio Stabil is a collectively operated, multimedial performance and recording space.
Evolving over the past 3 years out of the sound transmitting underground of metropolis Berlin this audio – visual performance platform emerged and took structure inside a formerly blank warehouse in the periphery of eastern Berlin . Thousands of working hours were needed until all cut 6 access points were pulled, the ground tanks inserted and the last rubine diffuser of the recording booth in place .
Our aim is to give also the artists of the creative low end and all outcasts of the monetary reproduction machinery a possibility to make hi-end recordings, subversive video installations in transmission as well as air acrobatics.
These years of building up ideas and all correlated infrastructures, finally allowing all multimedial visions and performing arts to manifest, were just enough to get the unexpected eviction note for end of august 2019 . Followed by a court case as the transfer of the entire studio structure cannot be realized in the given time frame ….
