[EQQ 016] Traffic Jam - Polyshine



After few appearances on Equaliteq's compilations and couple of remixes here comes a mini LP of Traffic Jam duo. Six tracks of "Polyshine" are made in unique style typical for T-Jam guys. Taking inspirations from different sources and mixing up different electronic styles they created their own underground image. This music is based on clear, shaped rhythms riched with many samples, break-off melodies and raw synthetizor's sounds. Also added vocal lines are nothing unusual in Traffic Jam's tracks.
But there's enough talking. "Polyshine" gives you opportunity to get an idea what is a T-Jam's guys music. Download it or stream it, and don't forget about comments...

At the end of the year 2006 dreiton.net is representing different projects and artists on the Compilation “Attack”. They created great electronic music between Minimalism, Dub and Ambient. The Compilation is a small jubilee (DN 010). Artists like Chris Air, Dieter Krause (hidden-recording), Laplaceausoleil, Dominik Paß, Lars and Gunnar Hemmerling as well as Antonio Bruno and Frank Hellmond are represented.
All projects of this Compilation and all the others who released at dreiton.net in the last months helped to realise our philosophy and idea of spreading electronic music.

Blurred Codensa" is a digitized and funky early hours contortionist spiced up with prickly stabs from a quilt of ones and zeros. "Step Focus Dimense" continues this theme but takes it to a bouncier hip shaking space. "Codensa" is a hypnotic and building ride through meadows of precisely sliced and bent glass grass swaying in a soft black wind. "Symetriades" slows things down a little but still keeps the processed funk alive and keeps things locked in and hypnotized. "The Fringe" is a softer metalic journey through distant gossamer sheets of noise and wobbling coils of aural silver.

Straight from California, USA, Rivel delivers his first release on Filtro: What’s de dub of it all, five tracks that seem to come from a THC-exposed CPU. Heavy, smoked IDM beats wrapped with post-reggae chords and strong basses generating what someone may call electroreggae; this, along with more gentle soundscapes, a lot of influences from the Jamaican music and an experimental twist make Rivel’s music depart from most of the known electronic dub.
