Morgan Packard (Live) in Helsinki



Morgan Packard is no stranger to contemporary electronic music fans. He has performed at a number of forward-thinking events around the world like Mutek (Montreal) and Plateaux (Poland).

He one of the few electronic composers who has brilliantly developed his own software (Ripple) to aid in the creation of his music. Along with SuperDraw's Joshue Ott, Packard is also involved in the production of the innovative iPhone/iPad app Thicket.

dám to i sem, anžto někteří z vás jsou přímo aktivní hudebníci :) Tedy – předem se omlouvám za spam – ale pro jeden komerční projekt (spot do čekáren ordinací propagující test genetických předpokladů zvýšeného rizika tromboembolických onemocnění) sháníme hudební stopu – pokud by tedy někdo měl pocit, že ve svém archivu má něco ze své tvorby, co bude cca odpovídat následujícím požadavkům, prosím ozvěte se :) Samozřejmě by to nebylo zadarmo.

— délka: alespoň 20 vteřin (což je délka spotu)
— nálada: mírně melancholická / zamyšlená (přeci jen je to poměrně závažné téma), spíše eufonická než kakofonní :)
— může být elektronická i akustická, klidně i elektroakustická, určitě ale pouze instrumentální

Předem díky moc a ještě jednou pardon za OT.

Eliane Radigue - "Transamorem Transmortem"



On June 28, Important will release Eliane Radigue's "Transamorem - Transmortem." The composition, originally a sound installation, was premiered with several others in the 1970s in New York, where Radigue played them for the public via magnetic tape. After a few presentations, Radigue packed the tapes away until proposals were made to have them released. The release of "Transamorem - Transmortem," then, is the result of more than 30 years of waiting for this particular composition, whose minimal shifts are equally rewarding for those willing to wait for it. Check out the excerpt above.
