British singer AMY WINEHOUSE has declared she has finally kicked her drug addiction after falling for her reported new beau JOSHUA BOWMAN while on vacation.
The Rehab hitmaker escaped to the paradise island of St Lucia in December (08) and has since been snapped by paparazzi cuddling up to the clean-cut former rugby player and looking healthy.
And she insists she is so happy spending time with Bowman she hasn't been tempted to use any drugs - and is even considering staying in the Caribbean permanently.
She tells Britain's News Of The World, "I haven't touched anything since I arrived and I feel the best I have in years...
"I love it here and have never felt so happy. In fact I don't think I'm ever going home. I was supposed to go last week but I thought f**k that, I'm staying!
"Especially as I met Josh here. He couldn't be more different from my husband, which is not a bad thing. Blake looks like me, a right mess. But Josh is all handsome and clean and that’s what I love about him.
"People might think we haven't got anything in common but I get on like a house on fire with all his family despite them being so posh. When I'm with Josh I don't need drugs to feel good because he makes me feel so amazing."
And Winehouse admits she was terrified she would meet her end after seeing photos of herself looking emaciated in London last year (08).
She adds: "Before I came out here I looked at a photo of myself in the newspaper and was horrified. My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, 'Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you'll be dead soon.'
"I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything. We're having a great time together along with all Josh’s family and friends and I just don't want the holiday to end.
"Home is hell for me. I've escaped from it. There are drugs everywhere. I can't do anything without everyone thinking I'm off my head on drugs, although half the time they were right, I was.
"But here I feel so calm and peaceful and for the first time I can definitely say I am off the drugs."
And her new health kick and romance have inspired her to consider recording again.
She says, "Before I got here I was just like a zombie most days. But here I've got new zest for life as I'm off the drugs.
"It’s made me feel like concentrating on my career again. Most nights I've done a few songs on the piano for a laugh but I'm starting to think about recording again. I want to capture how happy I am right now in some new songs."

She has been snapped by paparazzi looking healthy, chatting with residents at a local music festival, and soaking up the sun on a yacht - with insiders insisting she is finally winning her battle against her drug addictions.
And her booze-addled lifestyle isn't the only thing Winehouse is moving on from - it seems she has swapped her incarcerated husband in favour of a more clean-cut beau.
The star has been snapped cosying up with British ex-public-school boy Joshua Bowman - a former young rugby player who is carving out a career as an actor.
The pair has reportedly been "inseparable" since they met on the Caribbean island, and the two have been snapped hugging by the sea and getting intimate in a beach-slung hammock.
And Bowman admits he is taken with the singer.
He tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "She's just a cool girl, very nice, and we're just very friendly.
"She's a good laugh - she is such a lovely girl and on great form. I can't say much more than that."

Singer AMY WINEHOUSE is reportedly in negotiations with a British fashion label to design a clothing collection.
The Back to Black hitmaker is said to be in talks with executives at Fred Perry to produce her own range and has already come up with a series of sketches of her ideas, according to British newspaper The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "She was almost childishly excited and couldn't stop talking about it."

The Back To Black hitmaker has regularly been snapped indulging in sweet treats and takeaways in the street.
But the troubled star vowed to make a fresh start for 2009 - and that means giving up her unhealthy habits.
She says, "I love junk food, I always have. But it ends up making me feel sick. So I'm trying to eat boring s**t like fruit and veg instead of crisps, curries and fried chicken.
"Just talking about it makes me want it."

Now Winehouse is reportedly contemplating a longer stay in the Caribbean, suggesting it could have a positive impact on her personal life and her next album.
She says, "I could easily live here. The people are amazing and the local music scene is inspiring."
A source tells Britain's Daily Star, "Amy has been soaking up the local culture. She has attended a music festival and been seeking out bands in the village.
"She's been talking about recording the album in St Lucia. She's actually glowing."
