When [monk] has climbed all these steps of humility, the monk will soon arrive at the perfect love of God which drives out fear. Due to this love, he can now begin to accomplish effortlessly, as if spontaneously, everything that he previously did out of feat. He will do this no longer out of fear of hell but out of love for Christ, good habit itself and a delight in virtue.
