Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis wants to offer Paolo Maldini a change of role in Via Aldo Rossi, but the current technical director seems set to reject the proposal.
Tuttosport claims Gazidis looks for a possibility to keep Maldini at Milanello despite the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, who is set to take over at San Siro next term.
The former RB Leizpig coach will step into a managerial role combining the technical director job with the coaching part.
But the report insists that Maldini has no intentions of accepting the change of role proposed by Gazidis and his managerial experience at Milan will therefore end after the current campaign.
The former left-back previously worked as director of development and was promoted to technical director last summer, initially working closely with Zvonimir Boban, who was sacked in March.
