Borussia Dortmund have ceased negotiations with FC Basel regarding a move for Manuel Akanji, per Bild.

The Swiss club value their 22-year-old defender over €30 million with Dortmund only willing to pay around €25m. The increase in asking price is probably due to the fact that Liverpool have now entered the race to sign Akanji.
