    Raheem Sterling is prepared to put his contract talks with Manchester City on hold until after the World Cup.

    It had been expected City would speak to Sterling about extending his current deal, which runs to 2020, at the end of the season.

    However, after his best-ever campaign, in which he has so far scored 23 goals, Sterling is prepared to wait.

    The 23-year-old was touted as a makeweight in a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last summer. City failed in that move but Sterling's value has now risen.

    The expectation remains he will stay with the Blues but a good World Cup in Russia would put him in the shop window for Europe's leading clubs.

    El Chiringuito in Spain says Barcelona defender Yerry Mina's future has already been decided and he will join Liverpool on loan in the summer.
    I have no idea about the TV channel's reliability but Yerry Mina is a delightful talent who has barely played at Barcelona. Everyone who saw him at Palmeiras and Colombia knows how good he can be.

    Lazio defender Stefan De Vrij will play for Inter next season. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, last evening the Nerazzurri deposited the Dutch defender's contract until 2023 for €3.8 million per season as wages.

    The Nerazzurri are also closing in on the signing of Juventus left-back Kwadwo Asamoah on a free transfer. Juventus directors Paratici and Marotta have been informed of the situation and now the deal seems close to be agreed, with Asamoah that could already sign his new contract in the next few days.
