    Sky sources understand the Chelsea manager situation is still some way from being resolved.

    Talks are continuing over a pay-off for Antonio Conte and until that is sorted, the potential appointment of Maurizio Sarri cannot be finalised.

    We understand Chelsea want to negotiate down the amount Conte would receive if he was to leave – it is thought he is due £9m for the final year of his contract.

    As for Sarri, reports in Italy claim Chelsea would need to have him on board before July 1 to trigger the lower release clause. They would pay around £4m in compensation to Napoli compared to £7m if they employed him after that date.

    The uncertainty at Stamford Bridge could yet see Conte STAY at the club.

    Juventus may be willing to wait until Anthony Martial’s contract expires in 2019 to sign the forward for free, following a breakdown in valuation between the Italian giants and Manchester United, report Tuttosport.

    The English side want £70m for Martial while Juventus are only willing to pay £53m.
