Juventus are looking to sign Manchester United's Chris Smalling and are willing to offer Federico Bernardeschi in a swap deal, according to Calciomercato.

The defender spent last season on loan at Roma where he impressed, but the Italian side were unable to agree an extension with Manchester United to keep Smalling permanently.

The outlet reports that the champions Juve are hoping to swoop in for the 30-year-old with the offer of Bernardeschi driving down the asking price.
