Joaquín Correa has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with it seeming like his agents are trying to secure a switch from Lazio to English football.

Multiple clubs have been linked, with Tottenham the first out of the blocks and then Arsenal joining them. Over the past week it’s been the Gunners, Toffees, and Aston Villa pushed by the Italian media, although it feels like the latter are being linked mainly because of the income received from Jack Grealish’s sale.

TMW report that both Arsenal and Everton have made offers for the player, but haven’t managed to please Lazio. Bids from the pair were ‘returned to sender’, with the amounts, which TMW don’t mention, thought to be too low.

There’s still confidence in Correa’s camp that a move can happen soon. He wants out, has told his club, and Lazio will allow that to happen as long as they get a fee they feel is reasonable.

Lazio need to bring in €25-30m from sales in order to comply with Serie A rules, otherwise, in a Barcelona style mess, they can’t register new players.

Arsenal and Everton will now have to see how low they can force the Rome club to go.
