upsammy's Truancy Volume is her first outing of the year and her first mix in a few months. Off the back of her first live-set and a recent all-nighter, upsammy's Truancy Volume runs at an hour of no-holds-barred drum and bass, tripped-out IDM at 170 and un-ending jungle breaks, a sound reflecting what she might be playing at peak hour - it's spacious, hazy, weird and a masterclass in sound design and intricate drum programming. "I wanted to make a mix that has more energy than the mixes I have online right now. More of a reflection of what I would play in a club, I guess. But at the same time I wanted it to be a bit disorienting and trippy in some parts. The mix contains a lot of tracks that inspire me sound design wise." The tracklist includes tracks by the like of Mark, Nocow and Struktur, as well as ИНФХ's "Limitless Body". On the latter, upsammy explains why she included it: "This track has everything I enjoy in a track. A surprising arrangement, stunning sounds that don’t sound too familiar, a bit of a hectic vibe. The glitchy rythm of those deep chords works so well in combination with the percussive elements."

Ahead of the next instalment of Blasted on 4th October 2019, Samadee recorded for us a little, nasty deep mix. As he put it, the mix is kind of a sum of the sound he has been playing at his drum’n’bass gigs in the last 2 years. Underground deep rollers, niche techy steppers combined with some timeless classics of the genre. Let’s get in the mood for his set at Lauschangriff!

Raised in hip-hop culture that constitutes his background as a DJ and music producer, Samadee has been spreading love for various bass music subgenres around the city in the last couple of years. Member of the dubstep community project Planet Reese, one of the DJs of the norms-breaking Deviate movement, a regular guest-DJ at the drum’n’bass club Void — Samadee is one of the true hardworkers of the underground bass music scene of the city and for sure one of the most distinctive music selectors around.

STUART: jj, naučil sem se uz pred lety ze vsechno je o dobrym nacasovani)

AKISAN: To je další věc, bylo to znát i na postupně klesajícím počtu přehrání. Neměl jsem prostor pro nic dalšího, rád bych po delší době nahrál i rovnej set. A dostal jsem se do situace, že mi každý měsíc tracky přibývaly po desítkách, ale dnb set pro aspoň trochu větší publikum jsem hrál naposledy loni v říjnu. Takže teď je to i o hledání novýho přístupu k DJingu celkově, abych z toho měl radost. A tímto končím okénko mých hlubokých myšlenek.

STUART: neeee! dyt to jeste neni 20 let. :)

VEX: Děkuju! V místních kruzích to mělo celkem ohlas, v poště mi přistálo i pár supr tracků. Jsem za to rád.
