    High-Ranking Officials Admit 9/11 Could\'ve Been Prevented

\"They don\'t have any excuse because the information was in their lap, and they didn\'t do anything to prevent it.\"

    — Senator Richard Shelby, then ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee; member of the joint intelligence committee that investigated 9/11

\"I don\'t believe any longer that it\'s a matter of connecting the dots. I think they had a veritable blueprint, and we want to know why they didn\'t act on it.\"

    — Senator Arlen Specter, a Republican member of the joint intelligence committee that investigated 9/11

    \"There were lots of warnings.\"

    — Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld

\"Should we have known? Yes, we should have. Could we have known? Yes, I believe we could have because of the hard targets [CIA operatives were tracking].\"

    — Representative Porter Goss, Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; Republican co-chairman of the joint intelligence committee that investigated 9/11

\"I cannot say for sure that there wasn\'t a possibility we could have come across some lead that would have led us to the hijackers.\"

    — FBI Director Robert Mueller

\"As of September 10th, each of us knew everything we needed to know to tell us there was a possibility of what happened on September 11th.\"

    — Assistant Attorney General Michael Chertoff (described by the Associated Press as \"the Bush administration\'s top anti-terrorism prosecutor\")

\"Had one human being or a common group of human beings sat down with all that information, we could have gotten to the hijackers before they flew those four airplanes either into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the ground of Pennsylvania.\"

    — Senator Bob Graham, then Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence; Democratic co-chairman of the joint intelligence panel that investigated 9/11

\"If you put all those pieces together, I don\'t say you could have prevented September 11th, but there might have been some warning, had it been handled properly.\"

    — Vice President Dick Cheney

    >>> The above is based on the following excerpt from my 30-page article, \"Pieces of the 9/11 Puzzle,\" in the anthology I edited, Abuse Your Illusions: The Disinformation Guide to Media Mirages and Establishment Lies (The Disinformation Company, 2003) [info here].

Top Officials Admit 9/11 Was Preventable

After reading about all of these warnings, if you\'re thinking that 9/11 could\'ve been prevented, you\'re not alone. A lot of top US officials feel the same way. Unfortunately, their remarks appear in isolated instances, quickly surfacing and fading away. They\'re gathered here for the first time.

As noted in my article \"September 11, 2001: No Surprise,\" when Parade magazine asked Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld why the US was caught so flat-footed, without any warnings, he amazingly replied: \"There were lots of warnings.\"[109]

It took Robert Mueller eight months to admit it--and then he said it in a confusing way--but even the head G-man had to come clean. The New York Times informs us:

The director of the F.B.I., Robert S. Mueller III, acknowledged today for the first time that the attacks of Sept. 11 might have been preventable if officials in his agency had responded differently to all the pieces of information that were available.

\"I cannot say for sure that there wasn\'t a possibility we could have come across some lead that would have led us to the hijackers,\" Mr. Mueller told reporters after listing several missed opportunities by officials to discern a pattern of terrorist planning before Sept. 11.

He also said that while there was no specific warning, \"that doesn\'t mean that there weren\'t red flags out there, that there weren\'t dots that should have been connected to the extent possible.\" [110]

At a commencement speech at Seton Hall Law School, Assistant Attorney General Michael Chertoff--described by the Associated Press as \"the Bush administration\'s top anti-terrorism prosecutor\"--said: \"As of Sept. 10th, each of us knew everything we needed to know to tell us there was a possibility of what happened on Sept. 11th.\" [111]

Then we have this choice quote from Senator Bob Graham, who at the time was the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, as well as the co-chairman of the joint panel investigating 9/11:

Had one human being or a common group of human beings sat down with all that information, we could have gotten to the hijackers before they flew those four airplanes either into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the ground of Pennsylvania. [112]

But Graham is a Democrat [now running for President], so this must be a politically-motivated statement to make the Bush Administration look bad, right? Then how to explain the remarks of the Republican co-chairman of the joint panel, Representative Porter J. Goss? The Congressman is also Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He said:

Should we have known? Yes, we should have. Could we have known? Yes, I believe we could have because of the hard targets [CIA operatives were tracking]. [113]

For a similar opinion, we turn to Senator Richard Shelby, who was the ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee: \"They don\'t have any excuse because the information was in their lap and they didn\'t do anything to prevent it.\" [114]

Senator Arlen Specter was another Republican on the joint committee. After it had held one of its numerous closed-door sessions, Specter told CBS News:

I don\'t believe any longer that it\'s a matter of connecting the dots. I think they had a veritable blueprint, and we want to know why they didn\'t act on it. [115]

Even Vice President Dick Cheney got in on the act, telling interviewer Larry King:

If you put all those pieces together, I don\'t say you could have prevented September 11th, but there might have been some warning, had it been handled properly. [116]

Of course, this Clintonian mincing of words begs the question: If there could\'ve been \"some warning,\" why couldn\'t the attacks have been \"prevented\"? But we can forgive Cheney for this non sequitur; he undoubtedly admitted more than he meant to during the live interview.

So if anyone gives you a hard time for believing that the government knew enough to have prevented the attacks, just tell them that you\'re in powerful company. The Secretary of Defense, the Director of the FBI, the Assistant Attorney General, one Democratic Senator, two Republican Senators, one Republican Representative, and the Vice President feel that way, too.

    Torture testimony \'acceptable\'

Expert tells terror appeal hearing that MI5 would use information obtained under duress in court

    Audrey Gillan
    Tuesday July 22, 2003
    The Guardian

An MI5 expert in terrorism has admitted that the security service would use information extracted from tortured prisoners as evidence in court.

The secret witness told a panel of judges that in spite of knowing that a victim had been tortured or had come from a country where the regime sanctioned torture, she would still consider their testimony to be relevant to security service investigations.

The admissions will add to growing public concern over the detainees at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, who were questioned by the CIA and by MI5 officers. Critics claim that the government has condoned torture by the US in its attempts to garner evidence against people it suspects of having been involved in al-Qaida or the Taliban.

The implication of the testimony has shocked human rights campaigners, as well as lawyers and the families of those detained. Article three of the Human Rights Act says \"no one shall be subjected to torture or inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment\".

Malcolm Smart, director of the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, criticised the government for being party to torture, \"either directly or by proxy\".

He said: \"Information obtained under torture is cheap and dirty information. British intelligence should regard it with the deepest suspicion. It is well-established that such information is not reliable. International law requires that courts reject evidence gathered by torture as inadmissible. If the intelligence services are cooperating in this way then they are in effect condoning, even encouraging, the torturers.\"

Peres Raises \'World Capital\' Solution for Jerusalem

    Tue July 22, 2003 06:41 AM ET

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Shimon Peres, the head of Israel\'s opposition Labor Party, has suggested resolving Israeli-Palestinian conflict over Jerusalem by putting its holy sites under U.N. stewardship, a spokesman said Tuesday.

His plan calls for declaring a holy area of sites sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims in Jerusalem\'s old walled city as a \"world capital,\" with the U.N. Secretary-General serving as mayor, Peres\' spokesman Yoram Dori told Reuters.

Israel claims Jerusalem as its capital, including the Arab eastern part captured in the 1967 Middle East War and annexed in a move that is not recognized internationally. Palestinians want to make East Jerusalem capital of the state they hope to establish in the West Bank and Gaza Strip under a U.S.-backed peace plan.

Peres raised the idea in a meeting with visiting Russian diplomats-in-training when they asked how he envisaged a solution to conflicting Israeli-Palestinian claims to the city, Dori said.

Israel has previously rejected proposals raised by the Vatican to internationalize Jerusalem.

Peres, a former prime minister and an architect of interim peace deals with the Palestinians, has not raised the proposal with Israeli or Palestinian leaders, Dori said.

    Iraqi weapons \'now a secondary issue\'

The US Deputy Defence Secretary says finding Iraqi weapons of mass destruction is now a secondary issue.

The existence of such weapons was cited by Washington and London as justification for going to war, but Paul Wolfowitz says he\'s no longer concerned about them.

In an interview on board a US air force jet returning from a five day tour of Iraq, Mr Wolfowitz said the task of settling the weapons question is in the hands of US intelligence agencies.

\"I am not concerned about weapons of mass destruction,\" he said. \"I am concerned about getting Iraq on its feet. I didn\'t come (to Iraq) on a search for weapons of mass destruction.\"

Dr Kelly\'s Final Hours Did Not Indicate Suicide The Scoop Editor

    Scoop.co.nz
    7-21-3

In the 48 hours since the death of UK WMD scientist David Kelly several key pieces of evidence concerning his final hours and frame of mind have now come to light. These are extracted from key articles and linked below.

Notably they do not point to a seemingly suicidal or internally tortured end for the scientist who has taken to the grave the truth about his relationship with the UK PM\'s office and the alleged \"sexing up\" of Iraqi WMD intelligence.

In the wake of some reports that the death has been \"confirmed as suicide\" it is important for news consumers to realise that legally neither the police, nor the media, have any power to make such a determination.

The cause of death will ultimately be determined legally by a coroner\'s inquest and that will probably be several weeks if not months away.

It is also important to realise that while the evidence that has been released about the death is consistent with suicide, it is also consistent with a murder made to look like suicide.

Moreover the alleged method of suicide a self inflicted knife wound to the wrist is 1) a method of suicide extremely seldom used by men, and 2) a method of suicide that is seldom successful as it takes such a long time to die.

Finally it is worth repeating some remarks from WhatReallyHappened.com:

\"Why would he commit suicide NOW? And why try to commit suicide using the slowest method possible, out on the open, where he might be seen and stopped, as opposed to renting a motel room with a bed and bathtub? How could Kelly know that, once he was unconscious, a passer by might not spot him and call for an ambulance?\"

And on that point, given his importance to the UK Government at this time, and his role in the affair as an alleged leaker of sensitive information (he gave evidence only last Tuesday about the most significant intelligence scandal in recent memory) isn\'t it also just a little bit odd that Dr David Kelly wasn\'t under observation by the intelligence services?

Postscript: Since publication another report has come to our attention shedding light on the issue of whether or not Dr Kelly was under observation. <http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-1097399,00.html>Sky News reported (CLICK FOR LINK- See 5th To Last Para) , \"Mr Mangold also revealed Dr Kelly had been taken to a safe house but \'he hadn\'t liked that, he wanted to come home.\'\" Clearly someone considered that Dr Kelly was in danger of being attacked.

Microbiology: The Most Dangerous Area of Inquiry in the World

In case you haven\'t noticed, the world\'s top microbiologists are dying.

The MURDER of David Kelly in Britain brings the total of dead experts in microbiology to thirteen. To call Kelly\'s death a suicide is complete folly. See my entry on Israel\'s Kidon. / http://www.cryptogon.com/2003_06_29_blogarchive.html#105723670164412953 /

Kidon is the Mossad\'s elite political assassination team that specializes in suicides. While I\'m not saying that Kidon did or did not murder Kelly, Kidon is known to have been in Britain. The story was that they were executing individuals associated with Muslim extremism.

Leland Rickman of University of California, San Diego was number twelve. The previous eleven deaths are detailed here / http://globeandmail.workopolis.com/servlet/News/fasttrack/20020504/UMURDN?section=Science / .
I would also add SAIC analyst Christopher Legallo and potentially MD/microbiologist/lawyer Jeffrey Paris Wall and FBI analyst Linda Franklin to the list.

    Kidon: Mossad\'s Assassination Squad

Interesting article about Israel\'s wet workers by Gordon Thomas:

A killing war between Israel\'s Mossad and Islamic fanatics came closer this weekend in Britain.

The Israeli intelligence agency has sent four members of its kidon assassination squad to this country, to join fifteen other handpicked katsas, its relentless field agents.

Their brief is to \"disable\" any of the \"close to 50\" British Muslims that the extremist Islamic group, Al-Muhajiroun, last week boasted were ready to carry out suicide missions similar to the one in Tel Aviv.

Al-Muhajiroun spokesman, Asif Butt, said the 50 were \"primed and ready to go\".

The threat was sufficient for Mossad to send its own termination squad to head off any further threat to Israel or to synagogues and other Jewish institutions in this country.

\"In Mossad-speak \'disable\' means taking them out permanently\", said an MI5 source grimly. \"We know from past experience that the kidon can make murder look like an accident. It is their speciality\".

Two of the kidon are women. They have been trained to be ready to sleep with someone to obtain vital information.

Former Mossad chief Meir Amit said that \"sex is a woman\'s weapon. Pillow talk is not a problem for her. But it takes a special kind of courage - to sleep with the enemy\".

Mossad often operates outside the law of this country - or any country.

Scientists\' deaths are under the microscope

Alanna Mitchell, Simon Cooper And Carolyn Abraham
COMPILED BY ALANNA MITCHELL / Saturday, May 4, 2002

It\'s a tale only the best conspiracy theorist could dream up.

Eleven microbiologists mysteriously dead over the span of just five months. Some of them world leaders in developing weapons-grade biological plagues. Others the best in figuring out how to stop millions from dying because of biological weapons. Still others, experts in the theory of bioterrorism.

Throw in a few Russian defectors, a few nervy U.S. biotech companies, a deranged assassin or two, a bit of Elvis, a couple of Satanists, a subtle hint of espionage, a big whack of imagination, and the plot is complete, if a bit reminiscent of James Bond.

The first three died in the space of just over a week in November. Benito Que, 52, was an expert in infectious diseases and cellular biology at the Miami Medical School. Police originally suspected that he had been beaten on Nov. 12 in a carjacking in the medical school\'s parking lot. Strangely enough, though, his body showed no signs of a beating. Doctors then began to suspect a stroke.

Just four days after Dr. Que fell unconscious came the mysterious disappearance of Don Wiley, 57, one of the foremost microbiologists in the United States. Dr. Wiley, of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Harvard University, was an expert on how the immune system responds to viral attacks such as the classic doomsday plagues of HIV, ebola and influenza.

He had just bought tickets to take his son to Graceland the following day. Police found his rental car on a bridge outside Memphis, Tenn. His body was later found in the Mississippi River. Forensic experts said he may have had a dizzy spell and have fallen off the bridge.

Just five days after that, the world-class microbiologist and high-profile Russian defector Valdimir Pasechnik, 64, fell dead. The pathologist who did the autopsy, and who also happened to be associated with Britain\'s spy agency, concluded he died of a stroke.

Dr. Pasechnik, who defected to the United Kingdom in 1989, played a huge role in Russian biowarfare and helped to figure out how to modify cruise missiles to deliver the agents of mass biological destruction.

The next two deaths came four days apart in December. Robert Schwartz, 57, was stabbed and slashed with what police believe was a sword in his farmhouse in Leesberg, Va. His daughter, who identifies herself as a pagan high priestess, and several of her fellow pagans have been charged.

Dr. Schwartz was an expert in DNA sequencing and pathogenic micro-organisms, who worked at the Center for Innovative Technology in Herndon, Va.

Four days later, Nguyen Van Set, 44, died at work in Geelong, Australia, in a laboratory accident. He entered an airlocked storage lab and died from exposure to nitrogen. Other scientists at the animal diseases facility of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization had just come to fame for discovering a virulent strain of mousepox, which could be modified to affect smallpox.

Then in February, the Russian microbiologist Victor Korshunov, 56, an expert in intestinal bacteria of children around the world, was bashed over the head near his home in Moscow. Five days later the British microbiologist Ian Langford, 40, was found dead in his home near Norwich, England, naked from the waist down and wedged under a chair. He was an expert in environmental risks and disease.

Two weeks later, two prominent microbiologists died in San Francisco. Tanya Holzmayer, 46, a Russian who moved to the U.S. in 1989, focused on the part of the human molecular structure that could be affected best by medicine.

She was killed by fellow microbiologist Guyang (Matthew) Huang, 38, who shot her seven times when she opened the door to a pizza delivery. Then he shot himself.

The final two deaths came one day after the other in March. David Wynn-Williams, 55, a respected astrobiologist with the British Antarctic Survey, who studied the habits of microbes that might survive in outer space, died in a freak road accident near his home in Cambridge, England. He was hit by a car while he was jogging.

The following day, Steven Mostow, 63, known as Dr. Flu for his expertise in treating influenza, and a noted expert in bioterrorism, died when the airplane he was piloting crashed near Denver.

So what does any of it mean?

\"Statistically, what are the chances?\" wondered a prominent North American microbiologist reached last night at an international meeting of infectious-disease specialists in Chicago.

Janet Shoemaker, director of public and scientific affairs of the American Society for Microbiology in Washington, D.C., pointed out yesterday that there are about 20,000 academic researchers in microbiology in the U.S. Still, not all of these are of the elevated calibre of those recently deceased.

She had a chilling, final thought. When microbiologists die in a lab, there\'s a way of taking note of the deaths and adding them up. When they die in freakish accidents outside the lab, nobody keeps track.

    Suspicious deaths

The sudden and suspicious deaths of 11 of the world\'s leading microbiologists.

    Who they were:

    1. Nov. 12, 2001:

Benito Que was said to have been beaten in a Miami parking lot and died later.

    2. Nov. 16, 2001:

Don C. Wiley went missing. Was found Dec. 20. Investigators said he got dizzy on a Memphis bridge and fell to his death in a river.

    3. Nov. 21, 2001:

Vladimir Pasechnik, former high-level Russian microbiologist who defected in 1989 to the U.K. apparently died from a stroke.

    4. Dec. 10, 2001:

Robert M. Schwartz was stabbed to death in Leesberg, Va. Three Satanists have been arrested.

    5. Dec. 14, 2001:

Nguyen Van Set died in an airlock filled with nitrogen in his lab in Geelong, Australia.

    6. Feb. 9, 2002:

Victor Korshunov had his head bashed in near his home in Moscow.

    7. Feb. 14, 2002:

Ian Langford was found partially naked and wedged under a chair in Norwich, England.

    8. 9. Feb. 28, 2002:

San Francisco resident Tanya Holzmayer was killed by a microbiologist colleague, Guyang Huang, who shot her as she took delivery of a pizza and then apparently shot himself.

    10. March 24, 2002:

David Wynn-Williams died in a road accident near his home in Cambridge, England.

    11. March 25, 2002:

Steven Mostow of the Colorado Health Sciences Centre, killed in a plane he was flying near Denver.

Podobně to funguje u kreditních karet.

Ale existují ještě další netušené možnosti. Např. by vlády všech zemí dostaly do rukou absolutně přesné informace o stínové ekonomice každého státu.

Sebemenší přestupek bude okamžitě zaregistrován a příslušně trestán.

Zbývá ještě něco, o čem by naše vlády nevěděly?

Proč musel dr. Kelly zemřít ?

    21.7.2003 / Vladimír Stwora

Zločinnost neodvolatelných politiků v tzv. demokratických státech pokročila do další dimenze, aniž by to vzbudilo nějaký zvláštní zájem apatické veřejnosti.

Kelly, kdo jim poskytl informace o zfalšovaní a přikořenění zpráv výzvědných služeb o Saddamově nákupu uranu v Nigerii.

Bodejť by ne. My za to nemůžeme. Vyšetříme to, zapomeňte.

Kellyho

Podle manželky a rodinných příslušníků byl dr. Kelly po tvrdém a nechutném výslechu před parlamentní komisí nesmírně rozčilen a znechucen, doslova traumatizován. Postupně vycházejí najevo některá fakta. Výslech byl zuřivý. Nařídili mu jmenovat všechny novinářské zdroje, se kterými se stýká. Vyhrožovali mu trestní žalobou a tím, že přijde o svou penzi (měl rok před důchodem), nebude-li spolupracovat.

Doma dr.

To sebevrahové většinou dělávají.

Nějak mi to všechno nesedí. Nožík i prášky tlumící bolest měl vždy s sebou.

Nedá mi to, abych nepřipomněl jinou podivnou a nikdy nevysvětlenou sebevraždu či nehodu, totiž smrt Jana Masaryka roce 1948.

    DR DAVID KELLY - PROFILE:

Just yesterday in an email to a friend he expressed a desire to return to the job that meant so much to him. \"Hopefully it will soon pass\" he wrote \"and I can get to Baghdad and get on with the real work.\"

In the shadowy world of biological weaponry, David Kelly was the acknowledged good guy. He dedicated much of his life to tracking and deactivating smallpox in the former Soviet Union, anthrax in Iraq - and more, one suspects, which he would not discuss with the few journalists he trusted.

    UK\'s Tesco found using `spy chips\'

    THE GUARDIAN
    Sunday, Jul 20, 2003,Page 11

The UK supermarket chain Tesco has admitted testing controversial technology that tracks customers buying certain products through its stores. Anyone picking up Gillette Mach3 razor blades at its store in Cambridge, in the east of England will have his or her picture taken.

The London-based Guardian newspaper, alerted by Katherine Albrecht, director of US-based Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy and Invasion and Numbering, to the use of the smart electronic tags, has found that tags in the razor blades trigger a CCTV camera when a packet is removed from the shelf.

A second camera takes a picture at the checkout and security staff then compare the two images, raising the possibility that they could be used to prevent theft.

\"Customers know that there are CCTV cameras in the store,\" said a spokesman for Tesco. He went on to insist that the aim of the trial was to provide stock information and not security, but the manager of the Cambridge store, Alan Robinson, has already described how he presented photos of a thief to police.

The trial uses radio frequency identification (RFID) in which tiny chips can communicate with detectors up to 20ft away. The chip can then return information -- anything from a unique serial number to more complex product details. Or, as in Tesco\'s case, it could trigger a camera.

Retailers have hailed the technology as the \"holy grail\" of supply chain management but civil liberties groups argue that the so-called \"spy chips\" are an invasion of consumers\' privacy and could be used as a covert surveillance device.

The technology is mostly used to track batches of products through the supply chain.

But manufacturers want to go a step further and tag each individual product: everything from yoghurt pots to clothes.

One potential problem with RFID tags is that they can still work long after the product has been bought.

If the tags become as ubiquitous as the manufacturers would like, people could be bristling with the chips in clothes and possessions. Anyone from police to potential thieves could work out exactly what they carry.

Manufacturers, however, insist that the chips can be disabled at the point of sale.

\"You can disable the tag by erasing the data on it and this can be done at the checkout,\" said Jon Parsell of UK-based RFID Components, which supplies RFID systems to retailers.

Transport for London (TfL) is also using RFID-style chips in its new Oyster smart cards to allow users to travel around the tube network. The intention is that registered users will have information such as their names and addresses stored on the cards, which would eventually replace season tickets.

A spokesperson for TfL said that the entry and exit points of each journey made by Oyster users were recorded and that, technically, it would be possible to track people through the tube network.

Nicole Carroll, marketing director for TranSys, the consortium responsible for implementing the system, told reporters that all the journeys made by a user would remain stored in a central computer for the lifetime of the card.

Barry Hugill of the civil liberties lobby group Liberty expressed concern about \"function creep\" -- information recorded for one purpose and used for another.

\"We want quite clear legal guidelines as to what information companies, government agencies, local authorities are allowed to glean [and] what they can do with it,\" he said.

Kelly warned of \'dark actors playing games\'

Weapons expert Dr David Kelly reportedly told of \"many dark actors playing games\" in an email to a journalist hours before his suicide.

The words appeared to refer to officials at the Ministry of Defence and UK intelligence agencies with whom he had sparred over interpretations of weapons reports, according to the New York Times.

The message gave no indication that he was depressed and said he was waiting \"until the end of the week\" before judging how his appearance before the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee had gone.

The newspaper did not name the recipient of the email.

It said another associate had received a \"combative\" message from Dr Kelly shortly before he left his Oxfordshire home for the last time on Thursday.

The scientist said in the email that he was determined to overcome the scandal surrounding him and was enthusiastic about the possibility of returning to Iraq.

Dr Kelly was grilled by MPs last week over his comments to reporters about the use of intelligence in the run-up to the war in Iraq. He had denied being the main source for a BBC story about claims that a dossier on Iraq had been \"sexed up\" to boost public support for military action.

Dr Kelly\'s wife Janice told the New York Times her husband had worked on Thursday morning on a report he said he owed the Foreign Office and had sent some emails to friends.

She said: \"After lunch, he went out for a walk to stretch his legs as he usually does.\"

Mrs Kelly said she had no indication that her husband was contemplating suicide.

\"But he had been under enormous stress, as we all had been.\"

I was listening to BBC Radio5 at approximately 10:30 am (BST) of Friday 18th July (about 1 hour after Dr Kelly\'s body was discovered.) There was an interview with the police inspector in charge of the party that found the body. He said that there was a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The presenter asked if there would be a murder enquiry and he said something about a special team being set up. He also said that Dr Kelly had been offered a flak jacket \'although that wouldn\'t have helped in this case\'. So they knew someone was out to get him. Now the interesting thing is that this report was then dropped in succeeding bulletins, and was never referred to again, not even to say \'sorry we made a mistake\'. The official story is now suicide by a combination of pills and knife. We are living in a country controlled by a mad despot. The only difference between Saddam Hussein and Tony Blair is that we do have weapons of mass destruction.
