    RFID-enabled pervasive employee monitoring

Posted May 4, 2005, 8:10 PM ET by Barb Dybwad

Yeah, weren’t we just talking about office drones? This new bit of “production management” technology in use by Japanese company Omron aims to squeeze every last morsel of productivity from you peons. It makes use of video cameras, security systems and mandatory RFID tags carried by employees to monitor everyone’s whereabouts, analyze employee work performance, and eventually optimize employee allocation to improve product quality (why don’t they just replace everyone with robots so we can all go home, already?). Yes, worker bees, all your brain cycles are belong to Omron. Every. Last. One.

Tajná služba vyvážela vězně k mučení do světa

České úřady: O letu vězňů CIA nevíme

04.05.2005 14:08 - V roce 2003 startovalo z České republiky letadlo s vězni CIA, napsal list The New York Times. Podle autorů článku mířilo do Uzbekistánu, kam prý USA vozí zajatce, které chce tajná služba mučením přinutit mluvit. České úřady o tom ale údajně nemají ani tušení.

CIA údajně vozila mučit vězně do ciziny

Listu The New York Times se ovšem podařilo získat letové záznamy dvou strojů, které tajná služba k přepravě měla používat - Boeingu 737 a Gulfstreamu. Oba letouny mířily v letech 2002 až 2003 několikrát do uzbeckého Tašknetu.

Zatímco Gulfstream tam 21. srpna 2003 přiletěl z iráckého Bagdádu, boeing startoval z České republiky, uvádí The New York Times s odvoláním na dokumenty, které má k dispozici.

"My o takovém letu nemáme žádné informace.

    Malaysia may fingerprint babies

Police in Malaysia want to record the fingerprints of all babies
Plans to fingerprint all newborn babies in Malaysia have come under attack from civil liberties groups.

Police officers hope to store the information on a computer database to help catch criminals in the future.

They are proposing that all newborns should also have their palm prints and footprints recorded.

Rights groups have described the proposal as ill-conceived and accuse the police of wanting to treat all children as potential criminals.

    ...

It says such a move would create a climate of fear and intimidation.

The national human rights society in Malaysia, Hakam, has called the fingerprinting suggestion ludicrous, saying it is worthy of Big Brother in George Orwell's novel 1984.

Sister state demands 'new world order' to solve conflicts

    By Erica Pelzek/The Daily Cardinal
    Published: Tuesday, May 3, 2005
Article Tools: Page 1 of 1

A global, central institution whose mission is to solve all world conflicts peacefully is the formal answer to how to obtain a new world order, according to Roland Koch.

Minister president, or governor, of the German State of Hessen, Wisconsin's sister state, Koch proposed his theory of a new world order and ideas for improved U.S.-European relations Monday at the Pyle Center.

"Talking about a new world order means that there's a need for something new," Koch said.

Koch said he questioned the efficiency and stability of the present world order, with the United States leading as the superpower, and the abundance of transatlantic access in contrast with limited European access.

He also said he supports the concepts of the United Nations and NATO, but wishes they would broaden and unite to become a reformed, global political system.

"We can only find the solution [to a new world order] when we have powerful, united interests of regions," Koch said.

It is extremely difficult to bring European regional interests of separate, autonomous states together in one unified system without allowing a superpower to "dominate everything," said Koch. From a worldwide perspective, this process of unification versus checks and balances is never-ending, he stressed.

"In the regions, there must be an agreement that they can solve their own problems and they do not need, in every situation where they're having trouble, the assistance of a world police," Koch said.

Rather than allowing one country's military efforts or a world policing system to establish world order, Koch proposed the idea of Europe "establishing a climate of corporation that allows [its] regions to explore their own economic identities."

However, according to Koch, this self-government and newfound entrepreneurship would not come without dramatic changes.

"Our American friends will have to take into consideration that this new Europe of the future will make its own decisions," Koch said.

UW-Madison students said they appreciated Koch's political outlooks and ideas.

"He gave alternate visions of what international alliances could be," UW-Madison junior Rodrigo Adem said. "Regions are able to have their own identities, while still maintaining the unity he spoke of."

UW-Madison sophomore Andrew Kushner said he felt Koch's politics were conscientious and convincing.

"He is a consummate politician," Kushner said. "I felt like he was talking right to me."

Začalo to kamerami na každém rohu, pokračuje to mikrofony na každém sloupu. Co bude příště?

    (3.5.05)

Nadměrný hluk totiž způsobuje u některých nespavost, stres a dokonce násilí! Třetina Britů trpí příliš hlučnými sousedy a 14 procent má z toho zdravotní problémy.

No není to geniální?

Pssst. Nemyslete na to. Ať se nedopustíte zločinu závadného myšlení. A pozor na výraz tváře, když míjíte některou z milionů kamer. Mohl by z toho být zločin facecrime.

    Microphones to catch noisy neighbours

By Mark Prigg, Science Correspondent, Evening Standard
    3 May 2005

Noisy neighbours have become a scourge of modern life, resulting in stress, sleepless nights and even violence.

Now Westminster Council hopes a new wireless microphone could help tackle the problem.

It plans to attach the device to lamp posts outside houses, allowing inspectors to monitor sound levels.

    ...

“Using the new system, we can leave a monitor in an area for several days. The idea is that we can pre-empt people having to call us — if the monitor hears a disturbance it lets us know.” Mr Harrison added that the microphones were also going to be placed outside bars and clubs to monitor noise levels and any disturbances.

The microphones, which communicate via an internet connection, will be attached to lamp posts across Soho to test the system for the next few months.

“Eventually this wireless network will cover the whole of Westminster and be used by workers wherever they are,” said Mr Harrison.

“Noise monitoring and CCTV are just two of the initial applications, and the great advantage is that we can move these sensors to wherever they are needed.”

    http://www.thisislondon.com/news/articles/18329652?source=Evening%20Standard

"Oh no, squire, those microphones aren't being used to listen in on your politics, just to make sure the telly is down low in accordance with the local ordnance! Trust us!"

UK 9-11 Skeptics Pay Tony Blair A Visit

    Sunday May 1st 2005

With a few days before the general election, the UK 9-11 Truth network in association with Reopen911.org paid a visit to Tony Blair's constituency of Sedgefield, in the north of England.

In an unprecedented move, 17,000 "Confronting The Evidence" DVDs were distributed to the voters of Sedgefield in an attempt to educate Blair's constituency about the 9-11 cover-up and to contribute towards efforts to unseat the Prime Minister.

Additionally, several prominent newspaper adverts were placed in two of the regional newspapers, the "The Northern Echo" and the "Darlington, Aycliffe and Sedgefield Advertiser". Below is one example.

However, what really showed that the UK 9-11 Truth Movement would do whatever it takes to expose the truth about 9-11 was their visit to Prime Minister Tony Blair's constituency house. Eight 9-11 activists, sporting T-Shirts with the slogan "9/11 IS A LIE", delivered a "Confronting The Evidence" DVD, some Deception Dollars and an identical T-Shirt. These were handed to the armed police officer at the front gate to be passed on to Mr Blair.

Some UFO researchers say it fits into the same model that America went through fifty years back. According to many, fifty years back America received major technologies from civilizations in the Universe. In order to harness and use them, America had to modernize the infrastructures. It became the most advanced and infrastructure wise enabled nation in the world. The same is happening to India today. India is on the verge of becoming a country with most advanced infrastructure and technically oriented citizens. This is the country where the advanced technologies and civilizations can prosper.

Thousands of Missiles Fired by Russian and American Forces over Earths Arctic Regions – completely unannounced – Are we fighting extraterrestrial UFOs?
    http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/2310.asp

Report is reaching of a strange behavior by the American and Russian forces in the Earth’s Artic regions. Completely unannounced, both the super powers are launching thousands of missiles from both land based and aircraft launched these missiles that are being directed out of the earth’s atmosphere into the outer space regions of our planets atmosphere.

From various news services however there is being reported that Russia and the United States are conducting Missile Defense War games. The valid question is why was this separate military exercise not previously announced. Some UFO researchers believe that both the forces are jointly fighting something that they are not saying.

There are also reports that someone is manipulating the earth’s weather systems in a massive scale. Are American and Russians jointly fighting them?

The cosmic bursts hitting the earth are also strange. The Solar flares in recent days have shown extreme abnormal behavior.

The increasing earthquakes, floods, droughts and landslides may have been caused by some artificial agents.

On the surface the American and Russians are saying these missile launches are mart of military exercises but why are they unannounced. What triggered this massive launch of terrestrial missiles in thousands?

German outrage at 'tag the jobless' proposal

    By Hannah Cleaver in Berlin
    (Filed: 29/04/2005)

Germany's soul-searching over its high unemployment took a bizarre turn yesterday when a minister was forced to disown his apparent support for giving the jobless electronic tags.

Christean Wagner, justice minister for the state of Hesse, provoked outrage by suggesting on his website last month that electronic tagging would offer the long-term unemployed "the chance to return to a regulated daily schedule and be found a job".

Students getting cash, prizes for tattling on classmates
    Doug Gross, Associated Press
    April 26, 2005 TATTLE0427

ATLANTA -— For a growing number of students, the easiest way to make a couple of hundred dollars has nothing to do with chores or after-school jobs, and everything to do with informing on classmates.

Tragedies like last month's deadly shooting at a Red Lake, Minn., school have prompted more schools to offer cash and other prizes — including pizza and premium parking spots — to students who report classmates who carry guns, drugs or alcohol, commit vandalism or otherwise break school rules.

"For kids of that age, it's hard for them to tell on their peers. This gives them an opportunity to step up if they know something that will help us make an arrest,'' said James Kinchen, an assistant school superintendent in Houston County, Ga., which earlier this month started offering rewards of up to $100 for reporting relatively minor crimes like vandalism or theft and $500 for information about a crime, or plans for a crime, involving a gun.

Critics call them "snitch'' programs, saying they are a knee-jerk reaction to student violence. Some education professionals fear such policies could create a climate of distrust in schools and turn students against each other.

"There are very few things that I can think of that would be more effective at destroying that sense of community,'' said Bruce Marlowe, an education psychology professor at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.
