Greetings Dear friends, friends of the Earth...
As some of you might already know, this summer I shall be building a small ecological, cob roundhouse in the curvaceous and beautiful hills of southern Bohemia. A friend and I have so far put much energy in to organizing and planing the whole show as far as the foundations are dug and a small kitchen shelter has been built with a small lorena stove within. Your help or curiosity would be of much interest to us. Anything you could offer, from manual labor, to knowledge, tools, food or materials would help move things along quite a bit. My friend and I are more or less city dwellers, and we are very excited about this project, for it is simply giving us a chance to glimpse into a life of hard work and challenges but mostly startling simplicity and creativity which is the main fountain of our inspiration. Lend a hand or two, we will be glad... We also plan a living roof on a reciprocal frame and hopefully some Earthen plastering...
Otherwise, for the lack of expertise we cannot call it a workshop, so it is free, and also we are unfortunately not in a good enough financial situation (the house will be built for a bare minimum) to offer food. In that respect, you can either chip in with grains, flour, veg or beans for communal meals, or else eat at your own expense.
We will be there all summer from the 10-11th of july, most likely up until the first frosts or so...
