it would not be professional to make a telediagnosis without analysing “the thing”. The substance we can see in the pictures is a piece of mold (mold mycelium). For the growth of mold oxygen is necessary. To displace the air/oxygen in the headspace of the package we add nitrogen before closing. For that reason there must have been a leakage so that air could get into the package. We assume that the package got negatively affected during supply chain (transportation, storage, handling) causing a damage and an ingress of oxygen (e.g. at the perforation underneath the cap) and spoiling the beverage.
Due to the technical condition of our filling machine it is not possible that particles of the observed size are filled into a package. Filling takes place in a closed area and in all production steps we use sieves with mesh sizes much smaller than the particle which is complained.
