    Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche (Tib. སྒྲ་ལེགས་སྐྱབས་མགོན་, Wyl. sgra legs skyabs mgon) was born in 1955 in Nangchen, Eastern Tibet. At about the age of two, he was recognized by His Holiness the Sixteenth Karmapa as the ninth incarnation of the Traleg tulkus, and enthroned as the supreme abbot of Thrangu Monastery. The Traleg incarnation line is one of the most important Kagyü tulku lineages in Tibet and is traced back to the time of Saltong Shogom (b. twelfth century), one of the 'Three Men from Kham' who were among the five closest students to Gampopa and the only students to receive the complete transmission of both Vajrayana and Mahamudra instructions from him.

    Lama nemusí být tulku a tulku nemusí být lama, někdo však může být obojí, lama i tulku. V důsledku vlastního studia a praxe může být někdo označen jako lama. Některý tulku i bez této standardní výchovy požívá sociální status ve jménu dřívějšího lamy .Existují mnozí, jimž chybí kvalifikace lamy a způsobují dokonce pohoršení. Takže jsem již přibližně před čtyřiceti lety začal říkat, že je třeba mít systém, který by reguloval uznání tulku. Čili mít množství nekvalifikovaných není dobré.

    Nie je ani treba pripomínať, že tí, ktorí prijali mníšske sľuby nesmú piť alkohol, dokonca ani o veľkosti kvapky rosy na steble trávy, ale dokonca aj ngagpovia majú zakázané vypiť viac než jeden pohár denne [2]. Ako sa hovorí:

    Praktikujúci mantry, ktorí sa opijú alkoholom
    sa budú smažiť v Pekle zavíjania.

    Mäsu, ktoré je škodlivým jedlom, by ste sa mali vyhýbať čo najviac, ako je možné. Je obzvlášť dôležité vyhýbať sa mu, keď je to miestny zvyk a rozhodne by sa nemalo podávať na veľkých zhromaždeniach.

    KAILASH: Jo, spousta věcí z této oblasti zní hrozně, když se přeloží do češtiny. ;-) Ale spíš je to asi o tom, že na to člověk není zvyklý.
