SHADDIE: info k tý zvrhlosti I am the CEO of Underground Tactical and the one who captured the poachers and took this weapon off of the two poachers. This was in September of 2008 in the Cutada 12 area of Mozambique. I was on a 30 day hunting trip when half way through we were in the jungle tracking a heard of Cape Buffalo. We were walking on a heavily traveled animal trail when we heard some voices. We should not be hearing anyone's voice for many miles where we were in the bush. We decided to take cover and see who the voices were as they were getting closer. I shit you not, two poachers riding bicycles in the middle of the jungle came coasting by talking to each other in Portuguese. We noticed they had home made foot traps made out of truck leaf springs designed for one thing, to trap elephants. Anything else that stepped on those traps would just cut their leg off, and I saw plenty of three legged animals while I was there. We all looked at each other and gave each other a nod and jumped them. Those poachers ran like rapped apes. However, they were no match for our trackers whom captured them. When they ran they dropped everything, including the AK you see pictured above. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I looked over the weapon. It was recently fired too. At the muzzle, you could see fresh GSR. I'm sure the weapon was no where to being accurate as the rifling had to be completely gone in the barrel. With that said, I'm sure they are just using it to kill whatever they find in their traps at point blank range. I wish I could have brought the weapon home and keep it as a trophy, however, we know that will never happen. I have this all on video too since I had a videographer with me on the hunting trip. I'll go through the videos and see if I can find the part were we get these guys. I also have some photos of the traps that were made out of truck leaf springs, I'll post up.
