This wasn’t VFX added later. The gun actually functioned..massive gas bottle, real mechanics, simulated explosive rounds. Flames out the front, big shells ejecting, proper weight, recoil, and noise.
They spent serious money building it, and you could feel it. It even vented gas during firing... enough that my eyes started reacting and tears were pouring out by the end. Had to wash them out after.
It weighed around 40 kilos. You’ll notice the veins.. that wasn’t posing. When you pick something like that up, your body just switches on. No flexing required.
Same with the flamethrower… very real.
Some films give you dialogue. Some give you toys.
