Killtown Bookings is extremely stoked to announce that Portland based all-girl two-piece TAURUS will be touring Europe for the first time ever in late April to early May 2014! The tour will be based around their performance at the 3rd edition of the annual Heavy Days In Doomtown in Copenhagen, Denmark from 1st to 4th May!
Taurus is a Ambient/Psych/Drone/Doom Metal two piece consisting of Stevie Floyd from Dark Castle, and Ashley Spungin from the now defunct Purple Rhinestone Eagle.
Taurus have just one release behind them, “Life” from 2012. A sprawling and far out epic journey through the drone doom universe, filled with ambient soundscapes and strange vocal passages, “Life” portrays a nightmarish world of sorts. The ambient doomscapes Taurus put forth features down-tuned, loud and distorted guitar, with crawling, heavy drumming. A new full length is in the works taking the musical direction of Taurus towards a more heavy sound with influences from death and black metal. “Nothing” will be out in the spring of 2014, so there is something to look forward to!
