Police Bastard (UK) ex DOOM / Sore Throat looking for Gigs
Hello,
I’ve got your email address as a gig promoter / organiser. Mark at Iron Man Records is looking into booking more tours/shows for Police Bastard .
Do you still organise shows for bands? Do you know anyone else who may be interested in organising shows for bands?
What Country are you based in these days? What places / towns would you be able to help organise a show?
If you are interested please send a reply and copy mark@ironmanrecords.co.uk and he will send more information.
“If you yearn for the glory days of UK crust punk, when no one could touch bands like Antisect, Amebix and Anti-System for both their integrity and intensity, yearn no more, because their spirit lives on in Police Bastard. Muscling through ten tracks of metallic punk, so thick, primal and ferocious, it feels hewn from the very earth itself, they rage against the many injustices mankind inflicts upon the natural world with a terrifying conviction. The incisive savage riffing of ‘Brought To Our Knees’ recalls Sacrilege at the peak of their powers, whilst epic noisescapes like ‘Fortress’ wipe the floor with your bleeding Neurosis. Immense and empowering, this is essential. [8.5] IAN GLASPER” - Ian Glasper, Terrorizer (Feb 02, 2014)

“Formed by members of UK Crust legends such as Doom, Filthkick and Sore Throat, Police Bastard take their influences as much from the classic hard rock of Black Sabbath as from the more obvious aural assault of Discharge etc. Lyrically, they launch a vital attack on stagnant institutions, which perfectly articulate the rage felt in the music itself. It’s a righteous anger, primal but intelligently expressed, making this their best release to date.”

“Long running Birmingham pop combo back for another bite, and after a cool intro sample/intro about religion we’re off into ‘Curse of the Cross’. Crushing metallic anarcho that fans of Profane Existence releases have probably already picked up. Band names like AMEBIX, NAUSEA, BEHIND ENEMY LINES and TRAGEDY should give you a very good idea of what to expect. This kind of stuff, like pretty much everything, is hit and miss, and I can report that this doesn’t miss. Well executed and recorded with the kind of things you look for, like grinding riffs and memorable punk choruses the crowd can chant along to with their crushed plastic glasses aloft. But bear in mind whilst spilling that flat cider, if the crowd around you stink, it’s not cuz they haven’t showered, it’s because POLICE BASTARD just hit the brown note again. Or maybe it’s you?! Ten songs with digipak and booklet. IRON MAN”

“CVLT Nation's Top 6 Crust Albums 2013: Police Bastard are pretty infamous at this stage, so no need for any introductions with band member links to Doom, Sore Throat, Filthkick, Sensa Yuma etc. Their new album ‘Confined’ sticks to their cynical view of the world mixed with innovative guitar textures and driving industrial intensity. Thought-provoking monologues and confrontational lyrics bring you on a cold, doom-laden journey of perpetual war, psychological mind control, disillusionment and omnipresent bullshit. For a band that has been knocking about on and off for twenty years, they could be forgiven for reverting to the formulaic. However, they rethink and deliver a furious maelstrom of complex dark hardcore, best served cold.”

let me know if this is anything you can work with, or feel free to pass this on to others…..
