Everton are keen on signing Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Martins is one of several players who is seeking to terminate his contract at the club this week, and the 23-year-old - who is part of Portugal's World Cup squad - is attracting interest from plenty of clubs across Europe.

Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Burnley’s Nick Pope, according to a report from Adrian Kajumba of The Mirror.

The England international, who is currently in Russia as part of Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad, had a breakout season for the Clarets last season after stepping in for the injured Tom Heaton.

According to the report, Liverpool scouts have been doing their homework on Pope, trying to find out more about his personality and character as they consider a possible summer move for him.
