Everton have reportedly made a move to sign James Tarkowski on a free transfer amid interest from Aston Villa after Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League.
Tarkowski, 29, is out of contract at Turf Moor this summer and has attracted interest from Villa, who are targeting a new central defender.
But the Daily Telegraph claim Everton have jumped to the front of the queue for Tarkowski by offering him a contract worth around £90,000-a-week.
