Methane leaks alone from Turkmenistan’s two main fossil fuel fields caused more global heating in 2022 than the entire carbon emissions of the UK, satellite data has revealed.
Emissions of the potent greenhouse gas from the oil- and gas-rich country are “mind-boggling”, and an “infuriating” problem that should be easy to fix, experts have told the Guardian.

Ty podkopávají potravinovou bezpečnost ve velkých částech afrických polopouštních oblastí. Takže se bude vyskytovat více těchto krizí, častější vlny veder, které zasáhnou celý svět. Pokud se tedy dostaneme ke třem stupňům nebo dokonce za tři stupně. Tomu říkám velmi jednoduše prostě katastrofický bod. A svým způsobem by stálo za to tady skončit, protože na otázku, jaké to bude mít důsledky, je velmi těžké odpovědět. Protože jsme tam nikdy nebyli. Naposledy tam planeta byla před 5 mi liony let. Za poslední 3 miliony let, což je geologická epocha pleistocén, kdy planeta vypadala zhruba jako dnes, s konfigurací kontinentů a chemickým složením atmosféry zhruba jako dnes, jsme podle nejnovějších vědeckých poznatků nikdy nepřekročili dva stupně.

Asi sa pýtate, kam sa to obrovské množstvo vody z povrchu grónskeho ľadovca stráca. Na videu je krásne vidieť, ako si cez vertikálne trhliny v ľade (moulin) voda razí cestu smerom dole. Sieťou podpovrchových kanálov sa voda dostáva až k báze ľadovca, kde vytvára obrovské rieky tečúce najkratšou dráhou až do oceánu. Cestou do oceánu voda pôsobí na ľadovec dvojako - jednak ho roztápa (zdola smerom nahor), a čo je ešte "horšie", dynamicky urýchľuje pohyb ľadovca smerom k periférii ostrova. Tieto obrovské ľadovcové rieky tak výrazne akcelerujú deštrukciu celého kontinentálneho ľadovca.

Největší politická skupina na kontinentu podpořila zemědělce, kteří odmítají ekologičtější hospodaření pod hlavičkou Green Dealu. Pokud neustane tlak na ochranu životního prostředí, hrozí podle lidovců ztráta konkurenceschopnosti, odchod lidí ze zemědělství a i nedostatek potravin v Evropě. Rok před novými eurovolbami tím začal boj o hlasy lidí, kteří se bojí dopadů zelené politiky na živobytí.

Kretinsky ma dobre casy.

Praha - Energetický a průmyslový holding (EPH) podnikatele Daniela Křetínského v loňském roce zvýšil svůj provozní zisk (EBITDA) na 4,3 miliardy eur (zhruba 101 miliard Kč). Meziročně je to nárůst o dvě miliardy eur (47 miliard Kč). Konsolidované tržby skupiny stouply proti roku 2021 téměř dvojnásobně na 37,1 miliardy eur (871,8 miliardy Kč). Na hospodaření měla vliv situace na energetickém trhu, rozvoj celé skupiny a její akvizice. ČTK to dnes sdělil mluvčí skupiny EPH Daniel Častvaj.

ESSD - Heat stored in the Earth system 1960–2020: where does the energy go?

The Earth climate system is out of energy balance, and heat has accumulated continuously over the past decades, warming the ocean, the land, the cryosphere, and the atmosphere. According to the Sixth Assessment Report by Working Group I of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, this planetary warming over multiple decades is human-driven and results in unprecedented and committed changes to the Earth system, with adverse impacts for ecosystems and human systems. The Earth heat inventory provides a measure of the Earth energy imbalance (EEI) and allows for quantifying how much heat has accumulated in the Earth system, as well as where the heat is stored. Here we show that the Earth system has continued to accumulate heat, with 381±61 ZJ accumulated from 1971 to 2020.

This is equivalent to a heating rate (i.e., the EEI) of 0.48±0.1 W m−2. The majority, about 89 %, of this heat is stored in the ocean, followed by about 6 % on land, 1 % in the atmosphere, and about 4 % available for melting the cryosphere. Over the most recent period (2006–2020), the EEI amounts to 0.76±0.2 W m−2. The Earth energy imbalance is the most fundamental global climate indicator that the scientific community and the public can use as the measure of how well the world is doing in the task of bringing anthropogenic climate change under control. Moreover, this indicator is highly complementary to other established ones like global mean surface temperature as it represents a robust measure of the rate of climate change and its future commitment. We call for an implementation of the Earth energy imbalance into the Paris Agreement's Global Stocktake based on best available science.
