    Supporters of Save Old Growth block all lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway heading into Vancouver during rush hour this morning.

    We don't want to do this, we don't like inconveniencing people but we have tried everything else and the government still won't take action to protect its citizens from the climate crisis and provide a world where people (including these people stuck in traffic) have food to eat and a livable world.

    The climate crisis will bring drought, foods shortages, mass migration, conflict and death on a scale never seen before. Old Growth forests are essential for taking carbon out of the atmosphere, as well as protection from fires, floors and landslides.

    The provincial government must pass legislation to end all old growth logging in British Columbia.
