    Details of the hacking campaign were made public on Tuesday in a report by Citizen Lab, a cybersecurity watchdog group at the University of Toronto. The report said that thousands of people on six continents had been targeted by phishing emails for at least four years in the same operation.

    Citizen Lab has provided its information to federal prosecutors in Manhattan to assist them in their criminal investigation. A spokesman for the United States Attorney’s Office in Manhattan declined to comment.

    Přehled faktických chyb a míst, kde si pan Pokorný protiřečí:

    Asi nejvíc do očí bijící je, jak pan Pokorný v čase 30:12 mluví o tom, jak jsou proxy data nepřesná, že ukazují teplotu jenom v tom jednom místě, jenom v okamžiku, kdy ten sníh napadl, a že se to ještě může ovlivňovat dalších 20 let atd., a pak v čase 43:15 najednou začne suverénně vykládat, jak vypadalo globální klima za posledních 10 000 let na základě dat z jednoho jediného vrtu z Grónska. Dokonce pak na základě toho jednoho měření řekne, že současné oteplování není bezprecedentní, a "za to může dát jed". Nikomu nevadí, že si zvládne takhle naprosto protiřečit? Mimochodem, ta data co ukazuje, jsou ze studie Dansgaard z roku 1969 a nikoliv z roku 2009 jak pan Pokorný tvrdí. To, na co ukazuje ukazovátkem v čase 44:20 a říká, že žádné významné oteplování se neděje, je stav v roce 1966 (chybí tam veškeré oteplení od té doby).

    Bondovy cykly, o kterých mluví od 48:30, už jsou v současnosti dávno vyvráceny – ve skutečnosti jde jenom o statistickou náhodu. Taky se dá snadno dohledat.

    1:02:15 proč by se nemohly teploty naměřená teploměry přidat za teploty naměřené proxy daty? Oboje ukazují to samé – globální průměrnou teplotu. Chce pan Pokorný říct, že se neoteplilo o jeden stupeň za posledních 100 let? Pokud mu vadí spojení těch dvou grafů, ať se na ně podívá odděleně. V čase 1:32:55 dokonce pak v reakci na diváckou otázku přizná, že to spojování grafů je normální a v pořádku, a že to dokonce dělá ve svých studiích. Další příklad toho, jak říká věci, kterým sám nevěří.

    Ten graf "solární aktivity" který ukazuje od 1:08:00 je úplný nesmysl, sluneční aktivita posledních 50 let vytrvale klesá a teď jsme v největším slunečním minimu od 17. století. Tohle je už přímo otevřená lež a manipulace.

    Možná by bylo lepší kdyby se držel přednášení o botanice a změnu klimatu by přenechal odborníkům, kteří se jejímu zkoumání věnují profesionálně. Doporučuji například tuto přednášku dvou klimatologů z Karlovy univerzity:

    Climate science denier and Trump transition team advisor Dr. Tim Ball, who a Canadian court earlier derided as incompetent, ill-intended, and apparently indifferent to the truth, has been further rebuffed in the British Columbia Court of Appeal and must now stand libel for a nearly 9-year-old attack against prominent Canadian climate scientist (and outgoing BC Green Party leader) Dr. Andrew Weaver.

    Ball, a retired geography professor who for almost two decades has been giving lectures and media interviews in Canada and around the world denying the science of climate change, actually “won” this case when it was decided in the British Columbia Supreme Court in 2018. In January 2011, Ball had attacked Weaver on the populist website, Canada Free Press, in an article that BC Supreme Court Justice Ronald Skolrood later described as “poorly written,” and “rife with errors and inaccuracies, which suggests a lack of attention to detail on Dr. Ball’s part, if not an indifference to the truth.”

    Rozbor o co se opira Planet of Humans

    The one constant voice throughout the film, apart from narrator Jeff Gibbs is that of presenter, and author, Ozzie Zehner, whose discourse over the course of the film is overwhelmingly negative about each of the various renewable energy technologies examined and assessed by the movie. The big question though is how reliable Zehner’s narrative actually is, especially given that the film largely seems to be based on Zehner’s book, Green Illusions: The Dirty Secrets of Clean Energy and the Future of Environmentalism published in 2012.
    Ozzie Zehner attended Kettering University and the University of Amsterdam. According to his bio on Academia “He has written for academic and mainstream publications including Christian Science Monitor, The American Scholar, The Hill, UTNE, Truthout, ARTE, IEEE Spectrum, Women’s Studies Quarterly, and other publications. He regularly guest lectures at universities and serves as a reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)”

    However, how do Zehner’s claims really stack up when you start to focus in on them? It turns out that a number of critics over the years have accused him of distorting the truth about clean energy. Shortly after Zehner’s book came out for instance, in July 2012, Chris Meehan of Clean Energy Authority website, pointed out that other energy sources, besides solar, produce sulphur hexafluoride and do so in greater quantities.
    Meehan mentioned a study by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) that evaluated life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions for various energy generation technologies. This study found that solar PV emitted an average of 45 grams per kWh, compared to 500 grams per kWh for natural gas and 1,001 grams per kWh for coal. In reaching this finding, NREL examined 2,100 published references, subjecting them to three rounds of critical reviews by experts. Across the range of about 10 to 200 grams per kWh, even the highest estimate for production of greenhouse gases from PV manufacturing was about 40 percent of that for natural gas and 20 percent for coal, based on a meta-analysis of 46 estimates from 17 studies. NREL analyst Austin Brown found that 86 percent of SF6 emissions result from its use as an electrical insulator, with only 7 percent arising from manufacturing semiconductors with only a subset of that coming from solar cell manufacture. Brown also noticed that while SF6 is indeed a potent greenhouse gas, it nevertheless forms only a very small contribution to overall greenhouse gas emissions, at 2/10th of 1 percent.

    Pan Pokorny nie je klimatolog, to v prvom rade. Je to biolog a paleoekolog. Samozreme by to nicomu nemuselo vadit, ale:
    V druhom rade, pan Pokorny uplne ignoruje vedecke fakty tykajuce sa vyskumu klimy/ antropogennej klimatickej zmeny.
    V tretom rade, pan Pokorny pouziva na argumentaciu mnohokrat vyvratene hypozezy a takzvany "cherry-picking".
    Po dalsie, neviem o ziadnej jeho publikacii v relevantnom vedeckom casopise, co sa klimatickej zmeny tyka a ktora by popierala, ze sucasna klim. zmena je sposobena clovekom, predovsetkym emisiou CO2. No myslim si, ze by nieco na tuto temu mal urcite publikovat, prinieslo by mu to dozivotnu slavu a uznanie a myslim to naozaj vazne, bez akejkolvek ironie.
    A nakoniec, argumentuje sa faktmi, nie osobnostami ale ked uz, myslim si, ze tento clovek bol uz tolkokrat kritizovany vedcami klimatologmi, ze sa k tomu nema zmysel viac vyjadrovat, urcitych ludi fakty nepresvedcia a tymto koncim aj ja...
