These ancient doors, each an impressive seven and a half feet wide and twenty-five feet high, stand as a testament to Roman engineering. Crafted entirely from solid bronze, they are so precisely balanced that a single person can effortlessly push or pull them open, even after nearly two millennia.

One of the final passages from the "Iliad" by the ancient Greek poet, Homer, is depicted on this Sarcophagus at the Beirut National Museum.
The Achilles Sarcophagus is a beautiful work of art, based on the concluding book of Homer's Iliad. On the front side, we can see the dead body of Hector, which Achilles has dragged behind his chariot, and the ransom that king Priam has brought. The king of Troy, Priam, is kneeling before Achilles, the killer of his son. ... Priam begs Achilles to give him the body of Hector.
