The photograph you see above isn’t the result of Photoshop or infrared photography. Captured by Spanish photographer Palíndromo Mészáros, it shows what the landscape of Ajka, Hungary looked like half a year after the Ajka alumina plant accident — an industrial disaster in which 35 million cubic feet of toxic waste flooded the land to a height of around 6.5 feet. Mészáros lined up the thick red line caused by the sludge with the horizon line to obtain this surreal image.

A wall climber's dream, this is the Great Arch in southwestern China's Getu Valley. One of the hardest sport-climbing places in the world. The Great Arch is 164 feet high, 230 feet across, and 449 feet long. Really vertigo-inducing but the scenery is incredibly amazing.

West Bengal, India

A leopard attacks a forest warden after escaping from the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, in West Bengal, India. The animal had been inadequately tranquilized during an operation to capture it and return it to the reserve, after it had threatened inhabitants of the village of Limbu. The warden survived the attack, but the leopard was killed during attempts to subdue it.

The girl standing in the photo is dead. If you look closely you can see a base behind the girl’s feet and a post would go up from that with clamps at the waist and neck and the clothing would be open at the back. The arms would have stiff wires running at the back to hold them in place. Also notice the strange placement of the hands. The pupils are painted on the closed eyelids.

Senegal's Lake Retba, or as the French refer to it Lac Rose, is pinker than any milkshake. Experts say the lake gives off its pink hue due to cyanobacteria, a harmless halophilic bacteria found in the water. Lake Retba has a high salt content, much like that of the Dead Sea, allowing people to float effortlessly in the massive pink water
