    NiMH cells historically had a somewhat higher self-discharge rate (equivalent to internal leakage) than NiCd cells. The self-discharge rate varies greatly with temperature, where lower storage temperature leads to slower discharge and longer battery life. The self-discharge is 5–20% on the first day and stabilizes around 0.5–4% per day at room temperature.[25][26][27][28][29] But at 45 °C it is approximately three times as high.[19]

    DZODZO: The low self-discharge nickel metal hydride battery (LSD NiMH) has a significantly lower rate of self-discharge. The innovation was introduced in 2005 by Sanyo, under their Eneloop brand.[30] By using an improved electrode separator and improved positive electrode, manufacturers claim the cells retain 70–85% of their capacity when stored one year at 20 °C (68 °F), compared to about half for normal NiMH batteries. They are otherwise similar to other NiMH batteries and can be charged in typical NiMH chargers. These cells are marketed as "hybrid", "ready-to-use" or "pre-charged" rechargeables. Retention of charge depends in large part on the battery's leakage resistance (the higher the better), and on its physical size and charge capacity.

    Separators keep the two electrodes apart to slow electrical discharge while allowing the transport of ionic charge carriers that close the circuit during the passage of current.[31] High-quality separators are critical for battery performance.

    Thick separators are one way to reduce self-discharge, but take up space and reduce capacity, while thin separators tend to raise the self-discharge rate. Some batteries may have overcome this tradeoff using thin separators with more precise manufacturing and by using a sulfonated polyolefin separator, a further improvement over the hydrophilic polyolefin based on ethylene vinyl alcohol.[32]

    Low-self-discharge cells have lower capacity than standard NiMH cells because of the separator's larger volume. The highest-capacity low-self-discharge AA cells have 2500 mAh capacity, compared to 2700 mAh for high-capacity AA NiMH cells.[33]

    ABDULAH: Battery university je zaklad pre studium baterii, mam to cele precitane, to nie je "nejaky clanek" to je suhrn clankov od expertov na baterie, ktori maju natestovanych viac baterii nez jednu NIMH za 5 rokov :)

    NIMH sa ale v elektromobiloch uz nepouzivaju, tak neviem preco tym argumentujes :)

    ABDULAH: po mesiaci vonku stratis nejakych 7% baterie (u litiovej), kazdy dalsi mesiac to bude 1-2%, ale to maju vsetci napisane v uzivatelskej prirucke, ze ak nechavaju auto dlhsie stat, tak ho maju nechat stat pripojene k nabijacke

    jinak kamos ma robotickej vysavac ... v porovnani za dany casovy usek - roboticky vysavac vs stredni trida uspornosti vysavacu vychazi za mesic takto - elektricky vysavac ktery stejne musi kamos kvuli kobercum atd pouzivat vychazel v pomeru s robotickym cca v pomeru 10% elektrika a 90% robot ... celkove to sebralo v porovnani s mym vysavanim ktere jsem delal normalne cca 85% me spotreby ...

    pokud bych misto 1600W vysavace dokazal stejny saci vykon dostat z 1200W - ono to pujde :-))) tak budou vysledky srounatelne ... navic vysaju koberce atd ...

    Elektrarna spotrebuje cca 5-10% toho co vyrabi ... ono to bude delat i solar s baterkama atd ... to chces take pocitat do vyroby a dodavek atd???

    DZODZO: no je videt ze jsi to necetl :-D ono tech tvych 1,5Kw kterej porad omejlas jak poskozena MP3jka je v energii - tudiz muse byt v elektrice, v teple vzateho kdekoliv atd ... nasel jsem to na nekolika clancich a vsude mluvili o energii - i to tam nekdo primo pise ze to je energie a ne jen cista elektrina - v rafinerii asi nebudou topit elektrinu nebo myslis ze je to vyjde lacineji?

    No lepsia? me by fakt zajimal ten test po tydnu ci mesici venku ... protoze pokud mi v pripade odpoledni stoji auto 14 dni venku aniz bych ho nastartoval - protoze nepotrebuju - kolik elektriny mi v nem v zime projede???
