    1990 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution II

    Born through intense competition with BMW’s M3, the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3-16 was the result of a partnership between famed engineering firm Cosworth and Mercedes-Benz. The W201 chassis was beefed up with larger anti-roll bars, harder bushings, limited-slip differential, quicker dampers and a faster steering ratio. Getrag provided the five-speed dogleg gearbox to ensure fast and easy gear selection. Cosworth took the standard 2.3-liter 8-valve engine and fitted a light alloy cylinder head, dual-overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. Continued development resulted in an increase in engine displacement to 2.5 litres in 1988 and the Evolution variants of the 190 Cosworth. For the Evo II model, the engineers squeezed out more power to an impressive 235 hp. Brembo four-piston callipers were quick to bring the car to a rest. The true highlight of the Evo II is the aero kit that features a towering rear spoiler, imposing fender flairs and an even more aggressive front splitter.

    GREGI: Je to proste no bullshit auto. Takova uprimna zadokolka bez hlouposti jako jsou treba primej vstrik, start stop, rev-hang, dvouspojka, turbo...

    Plus ty tuhy napravy a zebrinovej ram, to je zaruka nulovejch starosti s vecma co se resi na beznejch malejch autech: manzety, silentbloky, tycky stabilizatoru, cepy, geometrie - tady je proste traverza, pruzina a roura s diferencialem x 2.

    Co ti budu rikat, libi se mi to.

    GREGI: Jsme 4 a mame Mazda3 jako rodinny auto. Deti jsou jeste maly. K tomu jsme do rijna 2018 meli BMW trojkovy kupe e46.

    V Jimnym je doopravdy vic mista, lip se hodi na moje kratky cesty do prace po spatnejch silnicich a hlavne zklidnil moji jizdu. S e46 jsem zazil spoust srandy, ale za ty 4 roky jsem zjistil, ze s tim uz jezdim skoro porad na hrane. Deti jsou maly, na dovolenou se jezdi Mazdou. Jimny je - stejne jako to coupé bylo - jen pro me.

    Plus teda se ucim uplne novej styl jizdy a zkousim prvni krucky v lehkym terenu. To je adrenalin, kterej mi zatim prijde mnohem bezpecnejsi nez rychla jizda bavorakem v provozu :)
