quick question, please: if you have the speed/cadence sensor attached, and GPS active, which method is used for displaying speed/distance?
Would you expect any difference in accuracy between the speed sensor and GPS, and do you get to choose which to display?

When using the Speed/Cadence Sensor (GSC 10), the speed and distance will be recorded based on this sensor instead of GPS data.

In general, it depends on the situation. For mountain biking with lots of switchbacks, you tend to get better speed data via the sensor.
However, for general road riding, I’ve found that GPS speed display is more than accurate for 99.9% of use cases.
Now, the one thing to keep in mind is that ultimately this is just display, not recording of data (unless you outright turn off GPS).
Takze bych rekl, ze to je tak jak pises. Pokud mas pripojeny senzor, tak data o rychlosti bere ze senzoru.
Jak to je, pokud tam nechas automatiku na obvod rychlosti to nevim, ale asi tak jak pises, nastavi to nejaky obvod a pak uz to jede podle toho, ale jistejsi a presnejsi by asi bylo si ten obvod nastavit na pevnou hodnotu... GPS ti ho na tom kilometru muze nastavit trosicku jinak a pak na 100km trase to muze byt znat...
A posledni vec, ten garmin na tom videu ma starej fw. A za dalsi, nejsem si jistej, jestli i kdyz pouzivas senzor, tak garmin sice zaznamenava data ze senzoru, ale udaje na displeji muzou byt porad zobrazovany z GPS. Pak se ti muze stat, ze v lese to treba nejak divne skace, ale ve vysledku na pocitaci by to uz bylo presne.
Proto zatim nevidim duvod si senzor kupovat, protoze vysledny data jsou presny na 99% i bez senzoru a jestli i se senzorem uvidim na displeji data z GPS, tak je mi to stejne k nicemu, takze asi tak. Ale nejlepsi by asi bylo napsat na helpdesk@garmin.cz :)
