Next, we’re going to dive into the big reason the MCU1 on the Model S and Model X can be a problem: the failure of the eMMC.

One of these variants is listed as the infotainment processor:
“NVIDIA Tegra” (MCU0 and MCU1)
“Intel Atom” (MCU2) = 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage.
“AMD Ryzen (MCU-Z) = 16 GB RAM and 256 GB eNVMe (with Autopilot HW3)*
* For Model 3 and Model Y with Autopilot HW4, however, only 8 GB RAM and 128 GB eNVMe .
