For decades, we have been obliged to work in dangerous conditions. Climate change and the degradation of the environment have not been stopped by protests and widespread awareness. Capitalism does not give a damn about protests and people’s awareness. But now it’s different: the living body of humanity (and the interactive mind) have been somewhat paralyzed by the presentment of the end: in short, a global trauma. Yesterday, the conditions for revolution were present: the sinking of democracy, the arrogance of the powerful, rampant poverty, violent exploitation, ecological devastation, and widely accessible information about what is going on. But, to quote the Invisible Committee: “Reasons do not make revolutions, bodies do.” Now something new has happened: bodies are obliged to stop their economic frenzy. Only trauma can provoke this sudden stop and this unavoidable change of direction. And the pandemic is the trauma that we needed. But, trauma is not enough. Trauma may also lead (and it generally does) to very bad choices—for instance the establishment of a techno-totalitarian system for the greater control of society, in this case. So, what is needed now is a period of active imagination to re-program that which may follow the halt, the big reset of the global machine.

SMYSLOV: otázka takhle nezněla, otázka zněla, jestli je možný pachtýře zavázat k nějakýmu způsobu obhospodaření. odpověď je, že v podstatě ne.
pak, když má někdo čas a prostředky, tak může hospodařit sám. ale to taky nejdřív musíš změnit účel pozemku a to může kolidovat s plánem územního rozovoje.
další aspekt je, že po zemědělský činnosti bude půda kontaminovaná chemií a další z.činnost by se s tím měla nějak vyrovnat, nebo třeba jen nechat pár let ladem. problém nastane ve chvli, kdy se tvůj pozemek nachází po svahu pod ornou půdou. to si můžeš bejt jistej, že se kontaminace do změny hospodaření souseda nezbavíš.

KULHY: vždy je možnost zrušit nájem a pustit se dotoho... za mě to je sen... už ta možnost s tím naložit po svém udělat ztoho pozemek co zadržuje vodu, či permakulturní zahradu, jedlej les, sad či jen rozmanitou louku pro hmyz a včely...

A new study published in the journal Environmental Science and Policy takes a closer look at the prospect of a two-term Trump presidency. It concludes that four more years of Trump in the White House could delay global emissions cuts by 10 years.
As Carbon Brief’s summary of the paper explains, the authors’ modelling shows that other countries would have to pick up the slack for the world to stay within the Paris Agreement’s “well below” 2C limit, adding a percentage point of reductions to each of their emissions pledges for every Trump term.

Reporting on climate change means forever being on the hunt for inflection points. Have global emissions peaked? When will the building of coal-fired power plants slow in, say, China? Has Arctic sea ice extent reached a record low?
Every time the International Energy Agency (IEA) publishes a fresh report, journalists and analysts dive in to search for such nuggets buried in the data. This week, it released its latest annual “World Energy Investment” report and Carbon Brief’s Josh Gabbatiss rolled up his sleeves and pulled out the key charts for his summary article.

Predictably, the Covid-19 crisis has had a dramatic impact on energy investment around the world. This year will see the largest ever fall in both investment and consumer spending on energy, said the IEA.
However, the report also reveals various other insights. For example, it shows that, as demand and prices collapse, consumer spending on oil is expected to drop by more than $1tn, prompting a “historic switch” as spending on electricity exceeds oil for the first time (chart above).

Another surprising find within the report was that investment in battery storage fell for the first time last year. It seems that fires at energy storage installations in South Korea were a significant cause.

Cop26 is the most important international meeting on the climate emergency since the Paris agreement was signed in 2015. Under the landmark accord, countries must come forward every five years with revised plans on curbing greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris goal of limiting global heating to no more than 2C, and preferably no more than 1.5C.

Current national targets would take the world to at least 3C above pre-industrial levels, scientists warn, so countries are under pressure to come up with more stringent commitments.

TADEAS:

Hodně stojíme o to, aby zemědělci pronajímající si půdu od obcí a států museli hospodařit udržitelně a zodpovědně. Konečným cílem ale je změna dotační politiky. Nejvyšší kontrolní úřad dlouhodobě vyčítá ministerstvu zemědělství, že není schopné upravit dotace do souladu s politikami na ochranu před suchem.

Nesmyslem jsou i protichůdné dotační programy, kdy ministerstvo zemědělství podporuje technickou úpravu koryt toků a ministerstvo životního prostředí zase vypisuje programy pro odstraňování technických úprav koryt toků a jejich návrat k přírodě blízkému stavu. Neuvěřitelné.

Na to klademe velký důraz, protože dotace musí podporovat zadržování vody v krajině a udržitelné zemědělství. S tím souvisí i náš provokativní návrh spojit ministerstvo zemědělství a životního prostředí. My víme, že ve stávající sestavě Toman Brabec a jejich pohledu na ekologickou politiku to nemůže fungovat. Nicméně finálně zemědělství má být v souladu s životním prostředí.
