SHEFIK: Super, dik! 30% energie navic by znamenala priblizne 15% redukce koncovych nakladu pro domaci FVE. Pomuze to, ale neni to takova revoluce, jak by se mohlo z toho clanku zdat. Fotovoltaika je dnes uz rentabilni, problem je spis kulturni (lidi tomu treba neveri nebo se jim panely nelibi), byrokraticky (uctovani po fazich a jine klacky pod nohy), nebo trzni (mala konkurence, trh pokriveny dotacemi, kdy je dodavka na klic nesmyslne predrazena). Maly system pro fotovoltaicky ohrev vody poridis za 40 tisic. Pri cene ~2.5kc/kWh a prumerne spotrebe 8kWh denne na ohrev TUV je ta splatnost cca 11 let. Bez dotace. Cili tohle by tu splatnost posunulo cca o 1-2 roky.

Je to fajn, ale prulom bude zlevneni baterii. Pri dnesnich cenach davaji smysl jen, pokud je to tvoje hobby (tj. nepristupujes k tomu racionalne) anebo jses offgrid a nemas jinou moznost. Napr. tato nejmensi LiFePo 4.5 kWh baterka stoji 143kkc. Uvadi zivotnost 8000 cyklu, takze te jedna ulozena kWh vyjde na ~4koruny (zanedbavam ubytek kapacity - uvadi ze po tech 8000 cyklech by mela kapacita byt aspon 80%). To je v prumeru cena soucasne elektriny ze site ve spicce. A k te ulozene cene je treba pricist i naklady na FVE (rekneme mezi 1.5-3kc/kWh). Tj. kdyby baterie zlevnily o rekneme 30-40%, tak se vyplati uz kazdemu, kdo ma aspon prumernou spotrebu elektriny. Je to jeste kus cesty, ale verim, ze tam dojdem. Elektromobilita tohle vyrazne posune dopredu.

Oxford PV claims that the next-generation solar panels will be able to generate almost a third more electricity than traditional silicon-based solar panels by coating the panels with a thin layer of a crystal material called perovskite.

The breakthrough would offer the first major step-change in solar power generation since the technology emerged in the 1950s, and could play a major role in helping to tackle the climate crisis by increasing clean energy.

Typically, a silicon solar cell is able to convert up to about 22% of the available solar energy into electricity. But in June 2018, Oxford PV’s perovskite-on-silicon solar cell surpassed the best performing silicon-only solar cell by reaching a new world record of 27.3%. The perovskite-coated panels will appear different too. Instead of the blue tint usually associated with traditional silicon panels, Oxford PV’s panels will appear black and blend in better with rooftop slates.

In a study in Nature Communications, the researchers report a catalyst that can produce C2-plus compounds with up to 72% faradaic efficiency (a measure of how efficiently electrical energy is used to convert carbon dioxide into chemical reaction products).

That’s far better than the reported efficiencies of other catalysts for C2-plus reactions, the researchers say. And the preparation process can be scaled up to an industrial level fairly easily, which gives the new catalyst potential for use in large-scale CO2 recycling efforts.

Ultimately, such a catalyst will aid in large-scale recycling of CO2. The idea is to capture CO2 produced by industrial facilities like power plants, cement manufacturing, or directly from air, and convert it into other useful carbon compounds. That requires an efficient catalyst that is easy to produce and regenerate, and inexpensive enough to operate on an industrial scale. This new catalyst is a promising candidate, the researchers say.

YMLADRIS: Nejsem si tak jistý, že XR u nás nefunguje. Myslím, že nějaký vliv na rozhodování politiků už má. Babiš to myslím někde ublíženě komentoval, že se aktivisti kvůli klimatu přilepili na silnici. Nebo jednání uhelné komise, prý i hrstka protestujících je znát. Je to zatím málo, ale jsem rád, že tu XR je. Lidi budou mít kam jít, až pochopí co se děje.

GOJATLA: uz jen to, ze cela rodina bude sazet na holinach stromy misto vikendu v obchodaku ma realny dopad :)) a pak o tom budou jeste s dalsima lidma mluvit, vypravet zazitky a duvody proc delali radsi tohle atd.
