If you are like me and not a professor, finding formidable pixies for the S.O.S task can be tricky.
I used another redditor’s technique to hunt them - waiting until everything on the map had spawned to check for pixies/elites, and simply leaving if none spawned (to conserve energy).
Using this method, I got 4 pixies using 118 runes.
Following this, I focused on brewing healing potions, switched to professor (with a completely empty skill tree) and began hunting ruins 3 with rank 1 stones.
Within 25 rune stones, I had defeated the remaining 6. A vast improvement in efficiency.
I hope this information is valuable to you - good luck and good hunting.
TL:DR: it’s more efficient to chug potions as a lvl 0 professor than to hunt pixies as a MZ or an auror.
Edit: P.S.if you are playing a professor and you still find this S.O.S. entry difficult - don’t feel attacked.
I think this step is poopy for everyone, my goal was to throw some coins at the problem and share my findings.
