The U.K.’s advertising regulator is cracking down on what it considers greenwashing by fossil fuel giants. A handful of newspaper, TV and poster adverts from Shell, Repsol and Petronas International were banned in the country for touting investments in renewable energy without mentioning the extent of each company’s polluting activities.

Dezinformace používá v rámci hybridního působení zejména Rusko. Snaží se tímto způsobem zasít mezi lidmi v demokratických státech nejistotu a rozdělit společnost. Informační válku vede od roku 2014 i proti Česku. Dezinformační, často vyloženě proruské, narativy přebírají různá alternativní média nebo jednotlivci, které na sociálních sítích sledují tisíce lidí.
Je ale otázkou, zda jde z jejich strany skutečně o přesvědčení nebo prostě jen o peníze. Jak ukazuje přehled dezinformátorů s největším zásahem, který najdete níže v textu, řada z postav dezinfo scény dluží statisíce korun a jsou proti nim vedeny exekuce. Do přehledu se dostali i někteří politici a osoby, které stojí v pozadí několika webů. Tito lidé se od výše jmenovaných liší. Nemají exekuce a na provozu internetových stránek vydělávají nejen prostřednictvím podpory od fanoušků, ale i díky inzerci. Některé z těchto médií nechala vláda po napadení Ukrajiny Ruskem zablokovat, protože podle zpravodajských služeb tyto weby působí ve právě prospěch Moskvy.

TUHO: For starters, the government’s cost-benefit analysis of its policy plans for cars talks in detail about life cycle emissions. Specifically, it mentions government-commissioned research that proves EVs offer a large and growing emissions benefit on a life cycle basis.
Echoing Carbon Brief’s findings, the analysis says: “BEVs [battery electric vehicles] are expected to reduce GHG emissions by 65% compared to a petrol car today, and this rises to 76% by 2030.”
That same analysis gives one answer to Atkinson’s touting of hydrogen as an “interesting alternative fuel” to replace petrol and diesel. The research shows that hydrogen vehicles would only cut emissions by 39% today, relative to petrol engines, potentially rising to 56% by 2030.
