Od roku 1971, kdy už bylo zřejmé, že nebudou nadále schopni krýt své dolary zlatem, hledali Američané jiné řešení. Našlo se. V roce 1972/73 uzavřely Spojené státy s režimem Saudské Arábie pevně ukotvenou smlouvu. Slíbily, že se postarají aby vládnoucí režim zůstal u kormidla moci. Ten na oplátku bude za svou ropu přijímat platby pouze v dolarech. Zbytek zemí OPEC pak následoval příkladu Saudské Arábie. A protože zbytek světa rovněž nakupoval ropu od OPEC, byl tu najednou opět důvod udržovat, shromažďovat a dále navyšovat dolarové rezervy. Svět potřeboval stále více ropy jejíž cena pořád stoupala, proto bylo třeba mít v rezervě stále více dolarů. Dolar byl žádaný i přesto, že ho nebylo možné vyměnit za zlato. To ale najednou nevadilo, protože byl směnitelný za ropu. A tak vznikly petrodolary.

Pochlebovači USA, nejmocnějšího státu světa, si často stěžují, že objekt jejich uctívaní přitahuje nelibost mnoha lidí po celém světě, a to i když dělají dobrý skutek. Jako důkaz poukazují na politické a lidské osvícení, jenž USA šiří po světě, avšak to je natolik propletené vlastní subjektivitou, že jakékoliv srovnání se skutečností se mění v důkaz bezedné nesnášenlivosti a pohrdání.

Z perspektivy tohoto argumentu by vyprahlé a válkou zmítané Somálsko mohlo být příkladem vzácné výjimky. Ve srovnání s jinými oblastmi (např. Irák, Afghánistán, Darfur) je zřejmě proč USA, vědomy si svého neblahého vměšování v r. 1993, zůstávají vůči dění v Somálsku nezvykle potichu.

When the prisoners began shouting for air, U.S.-allied Afghan soldiers fired directly into the truck, killing many of them. The rest suffered through an appalling road trip lasting up to four days, so thirsty they clawed at the skin of their fellow prisoners as they licked perspiration and even drank blood from open wounds.

Witnesses say that when the trucks arrived and soldiers opened the containers, most of the people inside were dead. They also say US Special Forces re-directed the containers carrying the living and dead into the desert and stood by as survivors were shot and buried. Now, up to three thousand bodies lie buried in a mass grave.

Outraged human rights groups and lawyers are calling for an investigation but the U.N. special envoy to Afghanistan refuses any U.N.-backed investigation until the Afghan government can protect witnesses. Two of the witnesses in the film have already been killed.

If western governments were really trying win the "war on terror" they wouldn't give terrorists so much credit

The menace of global terrorism has been labeled the greatest threat to western civilization since communism and yet swimming pools, peanuts and lost deer kill more Americans every single year. Why are our governments facilitating the terrorist's agenda by hyping a peril that simply doesn't exist?

The number of Americans killed as a result of international terrorism since the 1960's gives us a benchmark from which we can correctly identify and target other dire dangers to our very way of life.

- Allergic reactions to peanuts

- Accident causing deer

- Lightning strikes

That's correct - all of the above have killed an equal number of Americans since 1960 as terrorism. One could even categorize M&M's, lost deer and the weather as an "axis of evil arming to threaten the peace of the world," as George Bush famously once said.

Enemy Combatant: Fear the deer.



As Ohio State University's John Mueller concludes in a report entitled A False Sense Of Insecurity, "For all the attention it evokes, terrorism actually causes rather little damage and the likelihood that any individual will become a victim in most places is microscopic."

Last summer's much vaunted transatlantic terror plot, a facade that has since collapsed under the weight of its own absurdity, led to ridiculous measures in airports banning any form of liquids in carry on luggage and mothers were forced to drink their own breast milk. Yet there has not been a bomb planted in a piece of checked luggage on an American carrier since the 1988 Lockerbie disaster, itself a false flag inside job. Since that time Americans have been routinely interrogated millions of times about the contents of their luggage while cargo remains completely unchecked.

To equal the danger that Americans place themselves in every day by driving their car down the highway, there would have to be a September 11 every month. To reach the same level of risk that one undertakes in boarding an airline, you only have to travel eleven miles in a car.

The principle goal of terrorists is to terrify populations and governments into acquiescing to their political demands. The only way they can achieve this is by generating a substantial amount of fear and making people believe the lie that their life is significantly threatened by potential terrorism, when in reality the swimming pool in their backyard poses more of a danger.

As soon as we lose the fear, the terrorists lose their power over us to control our behavior. If western governments were really trying to win a war on terror as they claim then they would downplay and sideline acts of terror, pointing out that an individual has more chance of being struck by lightning than being killed in a terror attack.

And yet what do we see? George Bush and Dick Cheney frothing at the mouth predicting mushroom clouds over America, Fox News telling us every day it's not a matter of if but when we're attacked again, the British government warning that only "a miracle" would prevent London from being attacked over the holidays.

Mueller elaborates,

"What is needed, as one statistician suggests, is some sort of convincing, coherent, informed, and nuanced answer to a central question: “How worried should I be?” Instead, the message the nation has received so far is, as a Homeland Security official put (or caricatured) it, “Be scared; be very, very scared — but go on with your lives.” Such messages have led many people to develop what Leif Wenar of the University of Sheffield has aptly labeled “a false sense of insecurity.”

By making these statements and continually recycling the hysteria, these entities are facilitating the goals of terrorists, driving forward an agenda that could not alone be fueled by relatively minor, rare and inconsequential attacks that take few human lives in comparison to the real dangers that we face every day - mundane things like car accidents, cancer and heart disease.

In that context, allied with the voluminous evidence that every major terror attack we have witnessed was either a provocateured set-up or an outright inside job, western governments are staffed at the very top by terrorists who are openly espousing the creed and statecraft of terrorism.

Only by coming to the understanding that terrorism is such a limited threat to our livelihoods and communicating that to others can we disarm the alarmist propaganda that governments utilize in order to enlist our obedience for the construction of the prison planet.

Fear is a lie.

Iraq’s massive oil reserves, the third-largest in the world, are about to be thrown open for large-scale exploitation by Western oil companies under a controversial law which is expected to come before the Iraqi parliament within days.

The US government has been involved in drawing up the law, a draft of which has been seen by The Independent on Sunday. It would give big oil companies such as BP, Shell and Exxon 30-year contracts to extract Iraqi crude and allow the first large-scale operation of foreign oil interests in the country since the industry was nationalised in 1972.

The huge potential prizes for Western firms will give ammunition to critics who say the Iraq war was fought for oil.
They point to statements such as one from Vice-President Dick Cheney, who said in 1999, while he was still chief executive of the oil services company Halliburton, that the world would need an additional 50 million barrels of oil a day by 2010. “So where is the oil going to come from?… The Middle East, with two-thirds of the world’s oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies,” he said.

Oil industry executives and analysts say the law, which would permit Western companies to pocket up to three-quarters of profits in the early years, is the only way to get Iraq’s oil industry back on its feet after years of sanctions, war and loss of expertise. But it will operate through “production-sharing agreements” (or PSAs) which are highly unusual in the Middle East, where the oil industry in Saudi Arabia and Iran, the world’s two largest producers, is state controlled.

Opponents say Iraq, where oil accounts for 95 per cent of the economy, is being forced to surrender an unacceptable degree of sovereignty.

Israel Divulges Plan to Nuke Iran

Not to worry. The “mini-nukes” Israel will use against Iran’s Natanz facility and the heavy water reactor at Arak “would each have a force equivalent to one-fifteenth of the Hiroshima bomb,” thus we should not worry about the downwinders, mostly Iranians.

“Two Israeli air force squadrons are training to blow up an Iranian facility using low-yield nuclear ‘bunker-busters,’ according to several Israeli military sources,” reports the Sunday Times. “The attack would be the first with nuclear weapons since 1945, when the United States dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.”

The Hiroshima Bomb was equivalent to 12.5 kilotons of TNT, so a fifteenth would put a Israeli nuclear bunker-buster under a kiloton. Let’s round that off to a kiloton for the sake of argument. According to Robert W. Nelson, writing for Physics Today, an earth-penetrating nuclear weapon of the 1-kiloton range, used in an urban area, “would kill tens of thousands.”

Not a problem for the Israelis and the neocons, of course. After all, we’re talking about Muslims here, Muslims that hanker to “wipe Israel off the map,” never mind there is no evidence Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ever said this. Saddam didn’t have weapons of mass destruction, either, but that didn’t stop the media, with its neocon contrived script, from repeating the lie over and over until millions of Americans took it as fact.

It also does not matter that Iran, under the NPT, is perfectly within its right to develop nuclear energy. In fact, as Dr. Helen Caldicott notes, “Iran was actively encouraged by the United States to develop its own nuclear power program.”

This brings to mind April Glaspie, ambassador to Iraq, telling Saddam Hussein on July 25, 1990 that the United States had “no opinion on your Arab-Arab conflicts, such as your dispute with Kuwait. Secretary Baker has directed me to emphasize the instruction, first given to Iraq in the 1960s, that the Kuwait issue is not associated with America.”

“When the blast breaks through the surface, it carries with it into the air large amounts of dirt and debris, made radioactive by the capture of neutrons from the nuclear detonation, as well as fission products from the bomb itself. The radioactive dust cloud produced in the blast does not rise as high as a classic mushroom cloud, but instead typically consists of a narrow column of vented hot gas surrounded by a broad base surge of ejecta and suspended fine particles.”

“At a depth of 15 meters, a one-kiloton explosion would knock down homes within a radius of one kilometer, killing most inhabitants, states a study by Physicians for Social Responsibility,” writes Cristina Hernández for Tierramérica. “The survivors would absorb hundreds to thousands of rems of radiation, enough to be fatal. The rem is a unit used to measure the biological effects of radiation…. Even limited contact with radiation could affect the brain’s capacity to regulate blood circulation, reduce fertility and increase the incidence of cancer. Furthermore, DNA damage could give rise to genetic mutations in the offspring of affected populations.”

Israel has plans for nuclear strike on Iran: paper

LONDON (Reuters) - Israel has drawn up secret plans to destroy
Iran's uranium enrichment facilities with tactical nuclear weapons, Britain's Sunday Times newspaper said.

Citing what it said were several Israeli military sources, the paper said two Israeli air force squadrons had been training to blow up an enrichment plant in Natanz using low-yield nuclear "bunker busters."

Two other sites, a heavy water plant at Arak and a uranium conversion plant at Isfahan, would be targeted with conventional bombs, the Sunday Times said.

The
U.N. Security Council voted unanimously last month to slap sanctions on Iran to try to stop uranium enrichment that Western powers fear could lead to making bombs. Tehran insists its plans are peaceful and says it will continue enrichment.

Israel has refused to rule out pre-emptive military action against Iran along the lines of its 1981 air strike against an atomic reactor in
Iraq, though many analysts believe Iran's nuclear facilities are too much for Israel to take on alone.

The newspaper said the Israeli plan envisaged conventional laser-guided bombs opening "tunnels" into the targets. Nuclear warheads would then be used fired into the plant at Natanz, exploding deep underground to reduce radioactive fallout.

Israeli pilots have flown to Gibraltar in recent weeks to train for the 2,000 mile round-trip to the Iranian targets, the Sunday Times said, and three possible routes to Iran have been mapped out including one over Turkey.

However it also quoted sources as saying a nuclear strike would only be used if a conventional attack was ruled out and if the United States declined to intervene. Disclosure of the plans could be intended to put pressure on Tehran to halt enrichment, the paper added.

Washington has said military force remains an option while insisting that its priority is to reach a diplomatic solution.

How leaders are stealthily transforming USA into North American Union

Can it really be possible that Americans are witnessing a governmental program designed to merge – slowly but surely – the United States, Mexico and Canada?

So, while many dismiss plans to integrate the three North American countries as wild Internet "conspiracy theories," the January edition of WND's acclaimed Whistleblower magazine – titled "PREMEDITATED MERGER" – boldly lays out the disturbing evidence for all to see.


"The idea that our own government could be engaged in compromising U.S. sovereignty in such a radical way is hard for people to contemplate," said WND Managing Editor David Kupelian. "After all, Americans are already reeling from a stunning immigration problem – stunning not only because of the effect 12-20 million illegals have on America's economy, values and crime rate, but also because of the government's refusal to do anything about it. Druhou priotitou německého předsednictví je oživení euroústavy. Ta byla "zmražena" v roce 2005, kdy ji v referendu odmítli nejprve Francouzi a po nich Nizozemci.

Podle dohody, kterou uzavřel Brusel a Washington, budou mít americké úřady právo zkoumat emaily a úvěrové karty občanů EU, cestujících do Spojených států, píše konzervativní deník Daily Telegraph.

Tím, že cestující použije svou úvěrovou kartu k platbě za letenku, dá americkým úřadům možnost, aby zkoumaly i další transakce na jeho úvěrové kartě. Pokud cestující poskytne americké letecké společnosti svou emailovou adresu, může to vést k tomu, že americké úřad budou zkoumat, jaké emaily dostal či odesílá.

Rozsah těchto nových pravomocí vychází najevo z informací, které poskytlo americké ministerstvo pro domácí bezpečnost Evropské unii a které na základě žádosti, podané podle zákona o přístupu k informacím, zveřejnilo britské ministerstvo dopravy.

Z Británie, cestují každoročně do USA asi čtyři miliony osob a ze zveřejněného dokumentu vyplývá, že Spojené státy požadují už delší dobu přístup k daleko většímu množství informací, než si lidé dosud uvědomovali.

Američané budou tyto informace používat nejen k boji proti terorismu, ale i v boji proti ostatní zločinnosti.

Shami Chakrabati, ředitelka lidskoprávní organizace Liberty, je šokována rozsahem informací, které nyní požadují americké úřady: "Je to naprosté odevzdání veškerých práv občanů, kteří cestují co USA, tamější vládě," uvedla.

V říjnu 2006 souhlasil Brusel, že odstraní "byrokratické překážky" při poskytování těchto informací americkým úřadům poté, co Spojené státy pohrozily, že zakáží evropským leteckým společnostem létat do USA.

Američané mají nyní právo získat o každém cestujícím 34 různých informací – všechny tyto informace musejí americkým úřadům poskytnout letecké společnosti.

Většina těchto informací je neškodných, ale některé jsou kontroverzní, například letecké společnosti musejí poskytnout emailovou adresu pro cestující, dále informace o tom, zda se někdy cestující nedostavil k odletu, a informace o tom, zda má cestující nějaké požadavky ohledně stravy v letadle z náboženských důvodů.

Spojené státy konstatují, že budou tato data používat k dalšímu vyšetřování.

Za normálních okolností by americké úřady musely žádat o soudní svolení pro takové další vyšetřování, ale to bude záviset na tom, jaké informace budou dále zkoumat.

"Neexistují záruky, že by banka či poskytovatel internetových služeb sdělily svému zákazníku, že byly donuceny o něm americkým úřadům poskytnout informace na základě soudního příkazu," varoval jeden americký právník.

Zpočátku mají být získané informace k dispozici americkým úřadům jen po dobu sedmi dní, ale vybraný počet amerických vládních pracovníků k nim má mít přístup po dobu tří a půl let. Pokud budou během této doby záznamy skutečně zkoumány, budou se archivovat po dobu osmi let.
