Andy C has confirmed that the seventh edition of his iconic Nightlife series will be released this summer.
Details on the release date, tracklist and themes to the mixes are expected to be revealed imminently but one major twist to this edition is that he’s inviting new and unsigned producers to get involved.
“There’s so much great music at the moment and I know there’s a huge amount of new talent out there too. I’d love to feature you on this next chapter of the Nightlife series. Myself and the team at RAM invite all new and up and coming producers to submit your track for a chance to be included in the project.”
If you have music you’d like to submit to Andy then you have until April 20 and full details can be found here.
Whether it’s unsigned artists, brand new dubs or inventively laced classics, Nightlife 7 is expected to meet the meticulous and monstrous benchmark set by his previous editions. The album will also mark exactly 15 years since the inaugural Nightlife mix dropped in July 2003 and will land four and a half years after Nightlife 6 was released in November 2013.
During the time that’s passed since his last Nightlife adventure, Andy has continued to run in his own lane at the very top of the game. His Beats 1 radio show and concepts such as his All Night marathons (in which he sold out Alexandra Palace) and his revered 13 week residency at XOYO have given him the canvas to continually show his dedication to the genre and ability to dig deep and join the most disparate of dots within drum & bass. We suspect Nightlife 7 will do the same.
