    Tak kdyby to někoho zajímalo, tohle jsem jim poslal (obávám se ale, že to prostě nepoberou):

    Dear American Eagle employees,
    this is my last attempt to convince you. Please read carefully what I am about to write to you and please do not respond by copypasting paragraphs which are clearly intended for your American customers.
    First of all, let me restate my case. I am a citizen of the Czech Republic which is a part of the European Union. One of the greatest advantages of European Union is the fact that it allows you to set up business in any EU country. Thus it is quite normal that I have an account with a subsidiary of a Polish bank and that I have a debit card from them. (Incidentally, Amazon. Abe Books or Book Depository don’t have any problems with that.)

    Now I must repeat a bit of my previous e-mail, since you obviously didn’t read it at all:
    My card was issued by mBank (http://www.mbank.cz/; in English: http://www.mbank.eu/en/) which is a subsidiary of a Polish bank BRE Bank SA (http://www.brebank.com.pl/en/). Should you have any questions, you can of course check with the people from the bank themselves: write to kontakt@mbank.cz (or call +420 246 017 777).

    Now a bit about what you propose to do:
    I can’t call your 1-866 number. This is only an option if you live in the US or Canada. I can’t provide you with a billing statement, because Czech banks just do not provide this in paper. What’s more, this is only possible with credit cards (I am using a debit card. Surprising as it may be to you, I have never had a credit card, they are not really widespread here and I don’t ever want one: the idea of living in debt has never appealed to me.) And we don’t use driver’s licenses around here for identification purposes (since unlike in America not everyone has or wants a car here). I could of course provide you with my state id, passport, whatever.

    But it all boils down to one question: are you willing to listen to any of my arguments? Can you accept the fact that in some countries people do things in a different way than in US? Because if you don’t, it will be MUCH easier for both of us to cancel the order – and I will gladly spend my money with your competitors.

    NYX: Fakt to existuje? A jak je to zpoplatněné? Přes kreditku?

    WITTGENSTEIN: Problém je už v tom, že jim nedáš ten billing statement, neboť ho české banky nedávají papírově (a hlavě billing statement je pro kreditku).
    Místo driver licence můžeš užít state id (OP či pas). A asi bys to mohl poslat naskenované emailem (ale to bys musel mít sken), obvykle s tím není problém.
    A pokud je fakt nutný fax, tak ti to odfaxuji.

    Sranda je to uvedení čísla 1-866, které je sice free, ale mimo US/Canada a pár teritorií, se na něj nedovoláš. Tak nějak nepočítají s tím, že by měli zákazníky mimo tuhle zónu.

    zdar, jsem v maroku (btw s kartou zatim zadny problem), vas novy clovek je ID seregil, ale ted toho ma nad hlavu i bez nyxu, az se vratim, tak ho sem uvedu ;) kdyby neco horelo, tak piste na tomas.vokroj@cz.mbank.eu a kdyz tak tam napiste, ze jste z nyxu. je to fajn clovek a verim, ze vam bude stejnou pomoci jako ja. toz tak, mejte se ;)
