the point of the term - "love and light", if used properly, is not to repress the Shadow- but rather, is a term that is most accurate AFTER work with Shadow is complete- to the extent at which it was previously used. the idea of Shadow is that it is hidden from our consciousness as something we repress from our identity- when we stop repressing it, and work with it- it stops being hidden in the dark- it becomes doused with consciousness light, basically everything is 'light' in the end *(when your entire shadow is no longer hidden from consciousness, no longer 'in the dark'), so when somebody disagrees with the term "love and light" because "its not fair for the dark side, and its repressive of our dark nature" is only because either they misunderstand the term, or their personal work with their shadow is not yet complete. nothing wrong with either scenario, as everyone is on the same path.
