    Sodium baterie jsou aktualne drazsi nez Lithové ale to se brzo zmeni, za pár let bychom mohli vybírat ze Sodium, LFP a NMC. S tím že NMC bude high end a postupně pujde z main streamu pryč. Otazka tedy jak dlouho to bude trvat, primarně v EU kde jeste legacy nemájí v autech ani LFP.

    W_NOICE78: to mi přijde ale jako docela velký fail, jestli to fakt nedokáže nabíjet - ono třeba Audi Q6 etron (a další z platformy PPE) taky nemají DC/DC měnič, ale když auto zjistí, že se s nabíječkou na 800V nedohodne, tak se umí tvářit jako 2 paralelně zapojené 400V baterky a dobíjet...

    Elektromobily s 800V architekturou, které umí simulovat 400V systém rozdělením baterie na dvě paralelně zapojené 400V části, jsou zatím reprezentovány především Audi Q6 e-tron (platforma PPE). Tato technologie, označovaná jako "bank charging", umožňuje kompatibilitu se staršími 400V nabíječkami bez nutnosti externího měniče napětí.

    Throughout 2024, ADAC’s Yellow Angels responded to 3.6 million breakdowns, with the total number of breakdowns increasing by 97 per cent, and the number of EV breakdowns increasing by 46 per cent due to the growing number of EVs on German roads.

    When comparing EVs to ICE vehicles, ADAC limits its comparisons to vehicles of the same age, with 2024’s numbers providing greater confirmation.Limiting its sample size to vehicles aged between two to four years old, ADAC found that combustion engines suffered two and a half times as many breakdowns as electric cars – working out to 9.4 ICE breakdowns per 1,000 vehicles, and 3.8 EV breakdowns per 1,000 vehicles.

    ADAC’s analysis looked at a total of 159 different car models, finding that the Tesla Model 3 demonstrated the best performance among EVs two years old, with 0.5 breakdowns per 1,000 vehicles.

    The most susceptible EV to breakdowns was the Hyundai Ioniq 5, with 22.4 breakdowns per 1,000 vehicles, with its problems blamed on its integrated charging control unit (ICCU).

    The analysis also found that defective starter batteries were a common cause of breakdowns between both EVs and ICE vehicles, accounting for 44.9 per cent of all breakdowns attended by ADAC in 2024. Divided between engine type, defective 12V starter batteries were the cause of 50.5 per cent of EV breakdowns, but only 44.6 per cent of ICE vehicles.

    What’s cheaper to maintain? Battery, motor, or transmission replacement costs?


    The most expensive batteries per kWh are found in hybrids, of any type. On average, the total kWh cost for hybrids is 40% higher than that of EV battery systems.
    The most expensive complete drivetrain systems, on average, are hybrids, followed by ICE vehicles, while EV systems are the cheapest. (This refers to the average cost!)
    The worst parts procurement systems, right-to-repair access, and support (backend/frontend) are from: Xpeng, MG, BYD, Stellantis, Honda, Nissan, Volvo, Rivian, Lucid, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia.

    MG and BYD have not yet activated their RMI systems.

    Lucid and Rivian have no RMI systems at all.

    Hyundai does not issue invoices, leaving accounting departments with nothing to process.

    Kia has not yet approved RMI accounts and discriminates against Croatian and Slovenian owners by blocking access to Kia Connect.

    Warranties you cannot rely on if you purchase vehicles from: Stellantis, Mercedes, Kia, Hyundai.

    Cheapest components:

    Tesla has the lowest kWh cost.

    VW has the cheapest OBC.

    Tesla has the cheapest electric motors.

    Tesla also has the best right-to-repair (RMI) system.

    Tesla and BMW offer the best powertrain value and cheapest powertrain parts.

    Porsche has the most expensive parts globally.

    Best RMI systems (critical for sustainability and cost-effectiveness): Tesla, BMW, Mercedes, VAG, Ford, Toyota.
    Worst systems: Stellantis, Kia, Hyundai, Xpeng, MG, BYD.
    The most expensive systems (unsustainable for servicing): BMW, Xpeng, BYD—this significantly increases the total cost of vehicle ownership and reduces ROI.
    Lucid, Rivian, and others have no support systems, meaning these vehicles should be avoided as they could become unusable and not servicable at any moment.

    Chinese brands have proven completely unprepared for European expansion and lack scalable systems for corporate and aftermarket needs. Some EU representatives of these brands are already considering withdrawal due to non-functional EPC catalogs and even worse support.

    Tesla je jedina eu/us automotive ktera se neboji vyrabet baterie a tim se vertikálně integrovat, nakoupili produkcni linku od CATL a budou vyrabet lfp v Nevadě s tim ze zaplati male licence fee. Kde ma takovy plán EU automotive???

    The Swedish authorities, however, are keeping track. The Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap (MSB, or Authority for Social Protection and Preparedness) recently released the first report of its kind specifically tracking EV fires in Sweden and comparing them to combustion-powered vehicle fires and the results are clear: EVs are much less likely to catch fire.

    Per the MSB, just 29 EVs and 52 hybrids caught fire in Sweden between 2018 and 2022. On average, 16 vehicles powered by batteries (EVs and hybrids combined) catch fire there each year. On average, 3,400 passenger vehicles catch fire each year in Sweden, meaning EVs account for 0.4 percent of all passenger vehicle fires there annually. Hybrids account for 1.5 percent, for a combined total of 1.9 percent of all passenger vehicle fires.
