Anita Heringes, the mayor of Paks, told MTI on Sunday: the city's nuclear power plant provides district heating and district hot water services to 2,771 housing estate apartments and 181 public institutions.
Following the complete shutdown, around six thousand people in the city of almost seventeen thousand could be left without hot water. According to the mayor, the municipality has been discussing possible solutions for days in order to provide assistance to as many affected people as possible.
