    The key results: In the first 30,000 kilometres or so, capacity loss is accelerated and the so-called State of Health (SoH) drops relatively quickly from 100 to around 95 percent. The real degradation decreases with increasing kilometre mileage. According to the Electrive portal, the Aviloo data from the 7,000 vehicles showed an (average) SoH of around 90 per cent at 100,000 kilometres. After that, the trend line is almost horizontal, between 200,000 and 300,000 kilometres it is almost stable - and is well above the 70 to 80 percent from the battery warranty. In fact, it is closer to 87 per cent.

    Some of the highlights:

    They confirmed that their first small EV based on a shortened MEB platform will be at dealerships in 2025

    The first one will be a small crossover likely named ID.2, that is similar in size to the 411 cm VW T-Cross but will offer as much interior space as a Golf

    Expected range is between 250 km and 400 km, so they won't just be city cars.

    In 2026 sister models by Skoda and SEAT will follow, all of them will most likely be manufacutred in their Spanish Martorell plant

    They will use new LFP battery cells that are rated for 10,000 charging cycles, which means the battery will last for millions of kilometers

    They also confirmed the launch date for their next ID vehicles after the ID.5: The ID Buzz will be released in Summer 2022 and the ID Space Vizzion station wagon is coming in spring 2023.

    The latter will be 492 cm long and will have a range of "well above 600 km".

    Fully electric vehicle (BEV) sales in Germany continued to grow in March. March 2021 is the second-best month ever for BEV sales in terms of volume. December 2020 is the best till now.

    BEVs: 30,101 (+191.4% YoY) at 10.3% market share

    PHEVs: 35,580 (+277.5% YoY) at 12.2% market share

    De Meo said last week in announcing the “Renaulution” turnaround plan that all small cars launched by 2025 would be “100 percent electric” -- presumably on the CMF-B EV architecture.

    The ID.2 will be the little brother of the ID.3 in the size of the T-Cross and will start at under 20,000 Euros. It should be released in 2023.

    Unlike all the other announced ID cars it's too small to use the regular MEB platform, that's why VW daughter SEAT is developing a variation of the MEB for this car, which suggests that they will sell their own SEAT-branded model too.
