    GOJATLA: jedna nemecka firma rozjizdi ty domaci vodikovy fuel cells, viz TADEAS a stat na to pridava 12500 euro. tohle je pak otazka zda se ta infrastruktura bude ubirat timhle smerem, pak to urcite muze dal hodne zlevnovat.

    A slyšel jsem o projektu, kdy chlápek měl pod barákem snad 20 kubíkovou nádrž a tam celé léto vytápět vodu na hodně stupňů a v zimě tím topil. Nicméně realizace byla v řádech milionů. Což asi taky není to pravé ořechové

    Other scientists have shown that high summer temperatures over continental areas can increase the transport of water vapour high into the atmosphere. This water vapour carries with it organic carbon compounds that include chlorine, which are produced naturally by a wide variety of plants, algae and fungi. Once these compounds are near the ozone layer, they release the chlorine and this breaks down ozone molecules.

    This produces a positive feedback loop because a collapsing terrestrial ecosystem will release a flush of nutrients into the oceans, which can cause a rapid increase in algae. So the more the ozone layer is damaged, the more plants die, and the more ozone-damaging compounds are released. Later on, the ozone layer will naturally recover as the climate cools and the algae helps remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

    The discovery of this potential new extinction mechanism indicates that a warming climate, such as we have now, has the potential to erode the ozone layer to let in damaging ultra-violet radiation. This has consequences for all life on Earth, both on the land and in shallow waters.

    Na Slovensku se pripravuje vydani nejaky vlastni cli-fi literatury :)

    Globálna teplota je deväť stupňov nad predindustriálnym priemerom. Varovania vedcov zo začiatku storočia najskôr nikto nebral vážne, a potom už bolo neskoro. Zem medzi južnou a severnou 40 rovnobežkou je neobývateľná. Hladiny oceánov stúpajú. Niektoré globálne mocnosti sa zrútili, iné transformovali na nové štáty. Ľudstvo už vie, že klimatickú krízu nezvráti a odrátava posledné roky, ako prežiť. Pozostatky európskych národov našli svoju nádej v Spoločenstve a jeho špeciálnych útvaroch Alfa, ktoré hľadajú po celom svete technológie na boj proti klimatickej kríze. Pri jednej z týchto misii odhaľujú major Robin Wells a poručíčka Thess Reevie nepríjemnú pravdu o tajnej organizácií, ktorá prenikla aj na najvyššie miesta Spoločenstva. Píše sa rok 2076. Posledný boj o záchranu Zeme sa začína.

Jednotlivé udalosti zrejme neprebehnú, tak ako sú popísané, ale väčšinou z nich sa už vážne zaoberajú vedci, ktorí skúmajú klimatickú zmenu. Sucho, hladomory, požiare, záplavy, hurikány či rast hladín, sú len začiatok. Ako bude naša Zem, jediná známa planéta nesúca život, vyzerať o dvadsať, tridsať, či päťdesiat rokov máme v rukách dnes.

    Podľa novej štúdie v časopise Geology je súčasná koncentrácia CO2 najvyššia za posledných najmenej 23 miliónov rokov (!!). Zároveň nič nenaznačuje, že by za toto obdobie došlo k aspoň porovnateľným zmenám v koncentrácii CO2. Z tohto hľadiska žijeme vo výnimočnom období.

    YMLADRIS: Me zaujala ta zminka o nejvyssim podilu "zmarene energie" - zrejme tim maji na mysli prebytku v sezone. Kdyby jste nekdo vedel, co se s takovymi prebytky da delat nekde v malem (rekneme na instalacich do 10kW), tak dejte vedet. Vyroba plynu nekde doma je scifi, tak me napada jen ramcove sezonne vyrabet/delat neco relativne narocneho na energii. Ale nevim co:)

    YMLADRIS: Souhlasim - failed state neni asi nic fajn. Ja si preju jen takovou serii malych bankrotu, pri kterym se nerozpadne treba zdravotni pece:), ale ktera postupne donuti lidi prijmout realitu (a zodpovednost).
    PETER_PAN: Ono jo to jeste vtipnejsi - vlasnici lesa maji ze zakona povinnost o nej pecovat dle stanoveneho planu. Zkus se nekdy zeptat nejakeho vlastnika ciste smrkoveho lesa, kolik tam mel stanoveno treba pred 20 lety podil buku. Za ty tupe xichty co budou nasledovat ta otazka fakt stoji!;-) [Budto vubec nebude tusit, ze nejaky plan vubec existuje, anebo se nazlobi, ze mu davas neprijemne otazky.:))]

    Jinak taky doufam, ze cena sleti a postesti se mi neco nakoupit. Vysadili bychom tam s zenou les pro decka.

    Transformational adaptation on the farm: Processes of change and persistence in transitions to ‘climate-smart’ regenerative agriculture

    Regenerative agriculture, an alternative form of food and fiber production, concerns itself with enhancing and restoring resilient systems supported by functional ecosystem processes and healthy, organic soils capable of producing a full suite of ecosystem services, among them soil carbon sequestration and improved soil water retention. As such, climate change mitigation and adaptation are incidental to a larger enterprise that employs a systems approach to managing landscapes and communities.

    The transformative potential of regenerative agriculture has seen growing attention in the popular press, but few empirical studies have explored the processes by which farmers enter into, navigate, and, importantly, sustain the required paradigm shift in their approach to managing their properties, farm businesses, and personal lives. We draw on theories and insights associated with relational thinking to analyze the experiences of farmers in Australia who have undertaken and sustained transitions from conventional to regenerative agriculture. We present a conceptual framework of “zones of friction and traction” occurring in personal, practical, and political spheres of transformation that both challenge and facilitate the transition process. Our findings illustrate the ways in which deeply held values and emotions influence and interact with mental models, worldviews, and cultural norms as a result of regular monitoring; and how behavioral change is sustained through the establishment of self-amplifying positive feedbacks involving biophilic emotions, a sense of well-being, and an ever-expanding worldview.

    We conclude that transitioning to regenerative agriculture involves more than a suite of ‘climate-smart’ mitigation and adaptation practices supported by technical innovation, policy, education, and outreach. Rather, it involves subjective, nonmaterial factors associated with culture, values, ethics, identity, and emotion that operate at individual, household, and community scales and interact with regional, national and global processes. Findings have implications for strategies aimed at facilitating a large-scale transition to climate-smart regenerative agriculture.
